I get it if you just simply don't want them to take the chance on an Injured player. Especially with this team's history. He is a risk and you would need to protect yourself in his contract in the event he was not ever able to recover. But you do not know If he will be ready for the start of the season, a couple of weeks into the season, or miss the entire season. The best thing you can go off of is was what his team said, and that was that they were hopeful for mid-August. You wouldn't say that unless there was at least some sort of chance of it.

recover after the date of
injury.
U don't need to be a doctor to google some results or to know about history of the injury (considering we've had players w that injury)
