If you have your mind set on making money, you can make money anywhere. The difference in taxes between California and Missouri alone is worth millions.

I am not trying to just bash California but let's be real the bay area and California are a mess right now. Taxes and your money will go way further elsewhere. If money was even close to being Equal I would be choosing almost anywhere else first. I think we are going to lose out on a lot of free agents over the years because it won't be a desirable place to live for many. Just my opinion though.

Just because someone signs here doesn't mean they have to move here, they can live in their hometown during the offseason, then when OTAs, TC, Preseason, Season, etc.. come around they come back to the Bay Area, a lot of players share an apartment, Trent did with Bourne, and maybe Aiyuk, I forget though.

Just being objective here: If I'm TW and the Chiefs will pay me, I'm going there. I get to play with Mahomes and stupid stacked offense led by Andy Reid AND make more money with lower income tax.

He would also be playing on a team with a child abuser.

That is true. But guys who are older with children and family are probably not going to want to do that. Even guys who are single that would get kind of old, only being able to live in your house during the off-season. Now of course there are some people who will want to live in the bay area. But there is no doubt in my mind we are going to lose out on some free agents in the future because you can get more for your money elsewhere and it is just not a desirable place to live for many people right now.

California is great if you are rich

Idk, I think the 49ers will be an attractive destination as long as John, Kyle & Peters are around, and if the 49ers are willing to spend, I doubt a top tier FA will be turned off by CALI over somewhere like f**king Cleveland Ohio. I don't see the 49ers losing any of their big young stars(Kittle, Warner, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kinlaw, Bosa & Dre), I expect Warner extended this offseason, Dre, Deebo, & maybe Bosa next offseason, if Kinlaw & Aiyuk play well, then I could see them extended in 2023.

Rather stay in the Valley and put my money to work with some high powered VC firms like Patrick Willis did.

It depends where your primary residence is, Athletes are only taxed in the state they play the game in, so they pay taxes in each state they played the a game in that season and the signing bonus and stuff like that is taxed based in the state you make your primary residence. Thatbis why a lot of athletes make Florida home in the offseason

My chiro is the chiro for the Texans. He said the players get pissy when they play in a high tax state because their game checks are taxed based off of where they are playing that week.
A future chief? I thought they were way over the cap.

Chiefs fans think he is already their's. Just because they are the chiefs and apparently they are the only SB contender in the league. I also think Veach is one of the most overrated GM's in the league. They act like he is some miracle worker when really all he has done is kick the can down the road. Nothing really impressive about that. I want to see him put a SB calibre team together that doesn't involve a bunch of restructures. I will give him credit for the Dee Ford trade though. Though not sure if that was about thinking he was too injury prone or being pissed at him costing the team a chance at a SB appearance.

Chiefs fans are delusional. The Niners will sign Williams if I were to lay a bet down. Could he move on yes he could. IMHO I feel he will be signed prior to the start of FA. Getting juice and Williams back will be huge. Must keep our Pro Bowl LT to help this futile OL. Williams is a great start.
$50M/year tied up in QB and LT?
It's getting hard to see that.
I think they let him walk.
Today, please. Re-sign. Would be an incredibly start just as FA begins.

Isn't that the situation in Green Bay? Fact is, if you draft well, fet good players via trade, or sign good free agents, this is going to happen. The salary cap will become a game of musical chairs in which player gets 20 million +. Even with a rising cap (minus this exceptional year) I thought the market would correct itself, but nope.
Is he signed yet
