All Pro OT Trent Williams "Silverback",

These next few days will decide the direction of the offseason. If Trent's gone, I expect them to get desperate for a tackle in the draft.

I think that has been the plan all along. Anyone following Joe Staley's Twitter feed? No, I don't believe reports that he's coming back. He's got a neck issue and that is a permanent career ender.

HOWEVER, Staley is a true blue 49er. The fact that he's mentoring several draft eligible tackles is the REALLY BIG news out of this. His deleted tweets may indicate the path the 49ers will follow in next month's draft.

I will be very surprised if the 49ers throw gobs of cash at a suspect lineman like TW. Top free agent tackle? Not to me. The tackle who let our starting QB's get murdered? That is a better description IMO.

If they lose Trent, and I'm confident they will win the Trent sweepstakes, I'm sure they have plan B,C, and D in place. I'd love Joe back as OLine coach. I dont trust this Foerster guy to develop our OLines pass protection skills.

At least this is a great draft for OT's. Lots of talent in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I think Trent will be a 49er. But also confident that ShanaLynch can find a good left tackle via free agency or draft, if Trent goes to KC or some other place.

Ian rapport was saying today on NFL network that he expects Kyle juszczyk to rap up his new contract with niners by in end of the day. He also said that the niners are trying to get Trent Williams signed before tomorrow at noon when the legal negotiations can take place with other teams. He also said the team hopes to bring back verrett as well.
