Yes, it's one of the premier positions in the league (RT if your QB is left handed) as they protect the QB's blind-side. There's a reason why you rarely see top LTs hit the free agent market.

Did the Chiefs do anymore restructuring to gain more cap space? After restructuring Mahomes they had about $12 Million in cap space. But I thought they were suppose to restructures others to gain even more space. After this deal they can't have much space left and have less than 2 days to stay under the cap.

They already had to restructure a bunch of deals to open up space for Thuney. At this point they have enough for a couple lesser FAs and their own draft picks.

I think a big factor is how many years the deal is for, and of course the guaranteed money. Trent probably has two years of elite play left in the tank. Paraag and company will be prudent
