3 starters out of this draft now. Thats awesome considering this was a team in the SB with very few holes.

More considering we traded a 2nd for ford.

1. Kinlaw
1. Aiyuk
2. Ford
5. WillIams

Pretty epic draft

Im shocked Daniel Snyder traded with Shanahan.

Wonder if Williams told Snyder, trade me or i won't play for you. Also, he has played a long time , is long in the tooth, and maybe he wants that ring before hanging them up. It's probably the only way Snyder could get any value out of Williams.

Matt Maiocco is the best! Never fake news. Always the truth! He called it!

Much respect to MM, I kind of doubted him.

+ Kinlaw

+ Aiyuk

+ Williams

- Staley

- Sanders

- Buckner

Willams is better than Staley. It is very very unlikely Aiyuk is better than Sanders in the coming season.

He could easily be more explosive though, and with Deebo another year better that might make us better as a whole.

I don't know about you guys but I'd rather have Javon Kinlaw and Trent Williams than Tristan Wirfs (who may or may not be an NFL LT) and whatever DT could've been available to them in the draft, if not Kinlaw.

+1

Agreed, although I think keeping Buckner, then trading Armstead for a 2nd or 3rd would've been way better than the direction we went.

Armstead would have had to be a sign and trade since he was a free agent.
Does anyone know the difference in cap numbers between Joe and Trent?

STALEY RETIRES

Great move to get Williams and it looks like Staley actually helped!

Wow, ShanaLynch have stones passing on Wirfs. It doesn't sound like the TW trade was done when they made that pick.

Absolutely stupid.

Why? Maybe they don't view Wirfs as highly as you do

Lol it's pretty entertaining watching folks grasp at straws to bash Lynch
this feels like a Belicheat move, along with quality vets that want to come here...

TW was done with a toxic franchise, sees he has some left in the tank and wants to play for a ring

Unlikely, Aiyuk is better than Sanders? That's dumb assumption.

He is saying year one, with Sanders beings very polished vet that isn't so unreasonable

This makes me wonder if Lynch and Peters weren't high on Wirfs ability at left tackle.

Waste the 13th overall pick on a rookie T, or get Trent Williams for a 5th....🤔

NCommand wanted the team to draft Wirfs and play him at the guard position

Dude, if he leaves after next year we almost for sure get a 3rd round comp pick for him. And if he re ups with us we get a franchise left tackle for the next 5 years for a 3rd and a 5th, STEAL

He's not leaving he's gonna get a fat contract extension

That's not what I read from that tweet. Sounds like we're going to bump up his pay for this year only. Then he walks? Hope not?

Seems like this is THE year to lock in good guys on long term deals if you can. It will seem like a bargain by this time next year assuming the cap goes up dramatically over the next few years as expected.

If the NFL plays games this season without fans in the stands the cap will actually go down before it jumps back up the following year.

You do not know that at all.

Majority of revenue comes from TV deals etc. not from fans in the seats..

Yup the Majority does. But obviously no fans in the stadiums means LESS revenue. Less revenue = Lower salary cap.

Yep. This team (without Joe) MUST have an immediate LT during this Super Bowl window.

This is the kind of move New England makes. Nice to be on this side of it for a change.

This has BB written all over it. Who woulda thot. Obviously this must have been in the grand plan, yet not a peep was let out. You gotta admire JL ...and kyle. These guys are doing it their way, and is that ever refreshing. Also it has all been done with nobody in the know. That is how one is supposed to GM....quietly.

Couldn't agree more. Wouldn't surprise me if this was all basically done yesterday but everyone agreed (and there was enough trust in the room) to wait till today to make it official, to the benefit of everyone involved including Joe.
What does Dickies Sherman have to say about this?
Like the trade, but does Williams and Sherman need to make up ?
