If he plays too hard ball and is asking too much just use the 1st round pick on a LT and use that money to get other players

It looks as if Trent Williams must be suffering from PTSD and is having Washington flashbacks by refusing to sign as he got hoodwinked by the Washington team. He must be trying to get all that Money he did not get in Washington. Time to compromise a little. Can't be the highest paid LT when you are 4-5 years older than everyone that's elite at the position. If he is a top 3-4 paid LT, you would think he would be satisfied. We shall see.

It won't be the worst thing, if we don't sign him and just go the draft route and take an OT at #12 and save a boatload of money.

Without the trade down we may very well have not gotten Aiyuk, I'm fine with last years draft.

I am a little surprised we haven't heard what other teams are offering him but I'd imagine it has to be a lot. I would love to keep him because we don't really have anyone to replace him with but that is a hell of a cap hit.

Honestly at this point if he's pulling a Washington on us just move on, it's not worth it.

Just draft a Tackle and avoid the massive contract Williams would get.
