Agree, if I'm Trent Williams, and I got lots of inquiries and a couple of good offers outside of the 49ers offer, I'll take my time and contemplate and make the 49ers sweat a bit. If Trent's heart is left in San Francisco, then he's going to make sure he gets paid for leaving his heart in san Francisco, because it may be his last contract with [b]the injury history that San Francisco has recently for left Tackles [/b]and other positions.
what? Staley has been a rock on that line for many years until his last year. And nobody thinks injuries are team related.
Injuries are always a consideration when signing contracts in football.

I expect Trent to have around a $8.5M cap hit this yr, Kerrigan/Ingram around $5M, Mack around $3M same with the slot guy. That's around $20M in money invested this yr and they have around $30M right now.
Money to pay their rookies and they can still restructure someone like Ward and extend Tomlinson to free up more cash down the road if they want.
