Also cost of living differences. In the Bay Area, $5 million gets you a larger than average house. In Indiana it gets you a giant mansion, a hundred acres of land and a custom underground Bond villain style secret hideout.

Why is this a surprise? They've been saying 20 mil/year for 2 weeks now. This is exactly that. Also, as NY said this means absolutely nothing it's all about guarantees.

People are forgetting how good this Niners team is when they are healthy. They lost like 75% of their team last season, got kicked out of their home, and still won 6 games. And had a 1st place schedule. Though I now wish we had lost 90% of our players so we could have lose a few more games.
