Hes not some NFL insider guy thats going after scoops. There is very little reason to not believe himm

Why would SF tell a broadcaster the contract info of one of their biggest FA signings in a while?

Papa is obviously a voice fans would trust. So if your SF and you think you are losing Trent, put it out there that you tried to sign him back for "good" money.

Or, someone from Trents camp wants him paid more and is leaking it through Papa.

You think fans wouldn't believe we tried to resign him unless a broadcaster said "here's the offer they made"?

Are you new here lol

Lol I've been here just as long as you. But your point is taken

I'm so tired of hearing this FO tried and made a competitive offer. For the most part I've been able to accept that and haven't necessarily tripped off the guys we came close with but didn't get. This time is different. If they don't bring TW back this fan base should be calling for Lynch's head. No excuse to trade for a guy and play all nice promising no franchise tag. Then what? You can't f**king re-sign him. Your kindness is a weakness Lynch! Step it the f**k up and sign this man now!

At any cost?

I didn't say that but yes. If they need to have the best offer and beat out every team yes

We can't lose to them if they don't make it next year...
Get Rodney Hudson, get a decent LT and tell Williams to not forget anything in his locker.

So if we have to offer 25-26 million per year to win out you'd be OK with that?

Yeah definitely. The cap is a joke and the teams that have no business signing big ticket FA are. The extra 5 mil per year isn't going to break the team. There is much more cap room now than just a week ago. Besides Paraag isn't going to get fleeced so there will be all kinds of incentives pushing it that high. It won't be paid outright.

It's all about the guaranteed money anyways. Not the 25-26 mil per. Certain clauses could make some of that easy to back out of a couple years down the road
I remember when Papa was the voice of the Raiders, he used to always be plugged in with Raiders scoops that turned out to be accurate. So I wouldn't discount what he's saying at all...it's not really crazy to think the voice of the team has relationships with Niners management.

I don't disagree with what you're saying but TW is eating just fine. If anyone here seriously thinks 20 mil just covers his costs of living per year I have nothing more to say. It's a joke to even think that he's not living very comfortable with that kind of money. Even if CA takes half. Which totally sucks

Ca. doesn't take half. The feds take 37% and Ca takes 13.9 %. Like I said that still leaves $10 million but that may not be a lot to him. I live on SS and some meager savings and I know people that think I'm rich becauseI own a home. It's all relative. Let's be honest. these guys could easily live on $1 million after taxes but the market is much higher than that.
