I'm with gore. it's not just a broadcaster it's the team speaking through the broadcaster. could be Trent's camp but I think they would use a reporter over the team broadcaster. . Either way not a great sign in my eyes. Let's hope we get him signed

I think people are looking into this WAY too much lol. It could also be a broadcaster talking to do what he does.... talk.

Also 4yrs $80 for a 33 yr old LT is a f**k TON of cash. The only LT that's making more is Bakhtiari, who's younger and his total was $92M with $30M GTD.

4 yrs $80M $40M GTD, I have no idea what he would be expect beyond that? I have no idea what Papa would be expecting....dude didn't even know the GTD cash, which his what matters.

So if we have to offer 25-26 million per year to win out you'd be OK with that?

They're not gonna have to do that...jus more GTD cash. Shouldn't matter he's a stud.

I don't disagree with what you're saying but TW is eating just fine. If anyone here seriously thinks 20 mil just covers his costs of living per year I have nothing more to say. It's a joke to even think that he's not living very comfortable with that kind of money. Even if CA takes half. Which totally sucks

Ca. doesn't take half. The feds take 37% and Ca takes 13.9 %. Like I said that still leaves $10 million but that may not be a lot to him. I live on SS and some meager savings and I know people that think I'm rich becauseI own a home. It's all relative. Let's be honest. these guys could easily live on $1 million after taxes but the market is much higher than that.

Add those two percentages together and what do you get? Half. If you live in California and the Bay Area in particular that's a common phrase that's thrown around out here. "CA takes half". Thank you for the break down though.

If thats how he shows his thankfulness, he should leave better now than later.
Wants to be on a contender and forcing teams into cap hell, very wise.

I bet he has not earned any money in his career yet so 20 Million/year is just managing his living costs.

If 20 mil a year just manages his living costs he should strongly consider his lifestyle choices. I mean with that much $$$ coming in his money should be making money not just getting him by year to year

have you checked how much he and others pay in taxes in cal..

Yeah half your paycheck just like me. I make much less than a million per year and I live comfortably and my money makes money. Please don't tell me he needs 20 mil a year just to manage living costs. Lmao
I do not think you should run around telling people how to spend their money. but thats just me

I hope you're right. I don't think it's going to be that much either.

The market changes. Just a couple years ago Jason Peters was the highest paid LT and he was like 35 or 36.

The deal should be 4 years 90 mil, 50 mil guaranteed. Pay the man his market value and lets move on.
