and we have no idea if KC is really "all in" lol

They could simply be pushing up his price (KC or Trent's camp). They currently have about $8M to work with and not much left to cut/restructure. At this point they need both OTs spots (or at least depth there). CBs/EDGE and are losing multiple WRs.
lol just give him 23 million. God damn brah. Sick of waiting around. He just wants to be the highest paid for ego. Its not even about that extra 3 mill

cap is going to just keep going up. remember, only reason its this low is bc of covid. with the new tv deals, and fans back in stadiums, next years cap can easily be 220+ mil. it was 200 mil in 2020, 190 mil in 2019.

which does not help them in 2021.
How could they afford Williams, close their holes and still have money left for their rookies?
According to OTC they are just 8 Million below the cap.
Just let him walk and draft a Tackle at 12. Use the money on a good guard and center.

think this is a late tonight or tomorrow announcement.
Just up it to 23 or 23, whatever and keep the gtd money the same. Thats all that really matters in the end.

Trent Williams is unlikely to see the end of a 4 year contract with a 25 million cap hit attached to it anyway.

how could they compete with us after they spent yesterday? They got lots of holes and are not in a very good cap situation.
Need to sace something for draftpicks too, and they yalready restructered...

They're back-loading the hell out of these contracts.

Look at Thuney's contract

His cap hit this year is only $4.5 million, then it jumps up to $17 million next season.
Honestly, we might have the best offer on the table right now, currently only competing with ourselves. I haven't heard any news of colts, chiefs, or any other team offer.

Whatever happens. I just hope we don't miss out on signing talented players because we are saving all this cash for Trent and then he ends up signing somewhere else.

They are just going to just keep restructuring Mahomes. I don't see any way he plays the full 10 years of that contract. I think they have already restructured his contract twice and it hasn't even started yet.
Watch out for the Chiefs man. Heard they somehow still have $30M in cap space.

Something tells me the Niners will have to come up quite a bit to keep Trent. He wants the BAG!

hurry the f**k up trent
I wonder if us lowballing him with that 20m a year offer undid all of the goodwill he had for us.

you can't restructure a contract more than once a season...they've only restructured his contract once.
