They could simply be pushing up his price (KC or Trent's camp). They currently have about $8M to work with and not much left to cut/restructure. At this point they need both OTs spots (or at least depth there). CBs/EDGE and are losing multiple WRs.

Just up it to 23 or 23, whatever and keep the gtd money the same. Thats all that really matters in the end.

Trent Williams is unlikely to see the end of a 4 year contract with a 25 million cap hit attached to it anyway.

Look at Thuney's contract

His cap hit this year is only $4.5 million, then it jumps up to $17 million next season.

Honestly, we might have the best offer on the table right now, currently only competing with ourselves. I haven't heard any news of colts, chiefs, or any other team offer.

Whatever happens. I just hope we don't miss out on signing talented players because we are saving all this cash for Trent and then he ends up signing somewhere else.

They are just going to just keep restructuring Mahomes. I don't see any way he plays the full 10 years of that contract. I think they have already restructured his contract twice and it hasn't even started yet.

you can't restructure a contract more than once a season...they've only restructured his contract once.
