If the offers are similar, playing with Mahomes seems too attractive to turn down. Niners probably need to outbid the Chiefs by a couple million a year to win this imo.

FYI. AP, Carson Palmer, Jeremy Maclin, Chris Harris, Jason Kelce all had either their best statistical seasons and/or pro bowl years in the season following ACL repair.

You're right, expecting an oft-injured QB not to get injured is much more realistic. There has been no precedent established for him being injured, so expecting another is way out of line.

I hate this waiting game for the biggest domino, but Williams has little incentive to make a decision before 1pm tomorrow. That we haven't heard of legit terms proposed by other teams yet during the negotiating window is a good sign . . . I think.

Sure if he doesn't want to get any credit whatsoever. In KC it's all about Mahomes. They should rename the team the KC Mahomes because that's all they talk about. Also I think playing for Kyle who he has known for years trumps playing for Mahomes. If the Niners lose Trent to the Chiefs it's not going to be because he felt the Chiefs were a better team. It will be because they offered more money than the Niners.
