Trent Williams make a damn decision or the niners just move on because Trent probably won't decide for a while

Something has to give.
Trading Buckner was part of paying for Kittle/Armstead now.
Paying Williams probably takes money we planned for McGlinchey and we kick him to the curb for a rookie RT instead.
Hitting on LB Dre Greenlaw and trading away Kwon Alexander gives us money for Warner
When Bosa needs to get paid we will be shedding existing contracts (Ford and maybe even Armstead)
If you hit on draft picks it gives you flexibility to pay a star at the same time.
This is the way.

Huh? Bosa has 3 more years, locked in.
Armstead will be gone probably after 2022. Wouldn't shocked me of they worked on finding a guy that can effectively play both DE and DT this year. If Hyder is capable of playing inside and they can resign him, I'd say he is AA's replacement.
If you're going to replace AA in 2-3 years wouldn't you go for someone younger? in your timeline Hyder will be 32 before he takes a snap as AA's replacement.
Theoretically yes and I'd hope they start developing someone this year or next. But Hyder hasn't played nearly as much as AA even though I think Hyder is older. So although he would be over 30, its not like JJ Watt over 30.

Yup. Count on JG getting hurt, OL will be abysmal. Atleast we allowed Williams to showcase himself.
I'm counting on him to get hurt, but the OL has nothing to do with it.
Getting hurt and staying hurt is the problem .
slow healer
What are you talking about? Was he supposed to come back in record time from an ACL? Do you actually know what the mechanics of a high ankle sprain are?
Mr Garoppolo? Lol. Care to guess what this year's injury will be? I'm going separated shoulder or sports hernia.
FYI. AP, Carson Palmer, Jeremy Maclin, Chris Harris, Jason Kelce all had either their best statistical seasons and/or pro bowl years in the season following ACL repair.
Way to root for your team.....
You're right, expecting an oft-injured QB not to get injured is much more realistic. There has been no precedent established for him being injured, so expecting another is way out of line.
"Oft injured" = 2 injuries?
Jimmy Garoppolo also had his best statistical season after an ACL tear. Again, what are you talking about?
How many games missed last 3 years? 23 games. You're right, he's the picture of health. 23 missed, 25 played....that's a reliable QB. Ok.
Because of two injuroed suffered early in seasons, not because he was getting injured. He wouldn't be the first p l player to miss multiple seasons over a few years and play the rest of his career without an issue. See Matt Stafford as exhibit 1.

AA replacement won't be hard to find. Unless all the bags of chips are sold out at the grocery store
He's not Solomon Thomas. 2018 was solid. 2019 was good. Id be willing to bet with two more "good years" or even one great, he'd have some suitors. We just saw Kendrick Bourne, who is a no. 3 receiver on his best day sign for big dollars. Let AA have another 8+ sack season and its on.

I hope we're still negotiating behind the scenes with other players.
There's no way interested teams haven't all put their best foot forward by now.
If we wait and wait then he signs elsewhere we're in trouble.

mahomes..easy
If the offers are similar, playing with Mahomes seems too attractive to turn down. Niners probably need to outbid the Chiefs by a couple million a year to win this imo.
Does Trent want to live in Kansas City is the real question.

JG can't do that unless he starts that 10 year streak this season. Stafford missed 2010, then didn't miss another start til 2019. Played 162 of 192 possible games. JG missed 2018, then didn't miss another game until, wait for it, 2020. Played in 32 of possible 55 since 2017 . Can't compare the two. Jimmy has to play injury free until 2029 to match Stafford. Hope he's been working out. I get it, you think he's durable just bad luck and a slow healer, I think he's injury prone. Agree to disagree.
Ok. Back to Trent Williams. Sorry to hijack.

Cool. I hope he outplays what we are willing to pay and another team swoops in a pays too much like the Pats did with Bourne. That will make the decision easy to move on and it would also mean they got some good play out of him.
