Wouldn't it be fun just to officially and loudly pull our offer and watch where he lands for 14 Million.

He should take his time, specially if he has to decide between KC and SF and whoever else. But at some point, the time runs out and ShanaLynch will have to move to whatever their 2nd option is with regards to left tackle.

And I agree. I think ultimately ShanaLynch is going to fork over what Trent wants for Trent to stay in SF. It's the other teams we don't know about that maybe have more cap space than the 49ers that could tank the Trent-to-SF deal. I mean (for example) if SF is going 20 mill per year for 4 years, with 40 million guaranteed, another team with tons of cap space can easily match that.

Its hard for me to believe he had no idea what his choices would be entering free agency. Cant believe he still isn't signed somewhere.

My guess is he knows what he wants to do but is giving his preferred team time to put together their best offer.
Let's hope the Niners aren't just being strung along as leverage.

Why wouldn't he be? This is all agent at this point and he gives the final blessing.

Yeah, agree, there is a bidding war going on, otherwise he'd have been signed already. Who will fold in this bidding war? We shall see.

It's a clear message to 49ers and the NFL: If the money and the situation is right, you have nothing to worry about. I have to say if you're the best at what you do in a particular market, you can demand that you be respected for your services.
Paying him as if he's the best is treating him fairly.
Hard to argue differently...
