Looks like they couldn't come to terms on money, and it's the Raiders.

To be honest I never heard of him but I seen several posters saying get him!

Raiders cut Hudson. We should sign him, draft a T, G and leave Trent's 33 yr old ass in Mexico.

Why was he cut?

He wanted out

Heard on XM Radio in the last 3,500 snaps, he's only given up 3 sacks.

Matt barrows was on knbr saying he thinks Trent Williams is just playing the free agent game flirting with other teams so the niners give him a little bit more money playing each team against each other but he thinks he will sign with the niners. He thinks the niners would be willing to go to 22 to 23 million a year with good guarantee 💰 if they have to so this is a process that will play out. Trent wants to come back he just wants to try and squeeze more money from the niners.

Yup, agree, that's how I'm reading it too.
It's his last chance to make that big payday....and he deserves it. Can't blame him at all....so long as he signs the mega offer we give him.

Just release Jimmy and give Trent 24 per year

Without anyone to protect, we won't need a 24 mil per year LT.
I still hope we sign him but at this point I wouldn't complain if we looked into signing a top C, upgraded G or got a solid LT and then went LT/G in the draft.

I'm still dumbfounded how the f**k ass Chiefs can be in the running after paying 80 mil to a guard

They're back-loading the hell out of their contracts.

Thuney's contract is only costing them $4.5 million this year. It jumps to 17 million next year.

Yeach, it's crazy. For 2022, they're committed to nearly 169 million to only 24 players. If they sign Trent they're probably looking at almost 190 mil of cap spending on 25 players..... I don't know if they know but they need at least 51.

Now they could create some pretty good space by restructuring roster bonuses and base salary, BUT, they run the risk against injury like we've eaten on Ford, and it stockpiles down the road a la the Saints, Bears, Rams, etc.

The Saints have no proven QB, still have a ways to go to get under the cap, have cut a bunch of players and kicked space down the road, all because they went, "win now". Same with thr Bears. They backloaded Mack, k**e Fuller and Allen Robinson. Both Fuller and Robinson are in the final years of contracts and they could create a good bit if cap space but they'd also likely have to give both guys HUGE extensions by tomorrow or cut Robinson and restructure Mack. And all of that to get Andy Dalton as their QB.

Nice!

Hes probably 1b in terms of best center. He and Linsley are on top of the center heap.

I like the idea if getting him but it doesn't come cheap. He'd look to get a contract on par with Linsley.

He's good in the run game and knows the WCO.

To me, he becomes option 1 after Trent, Mack is #2 and Landon Dickerson #3 in the draft.
This isn't going to drag on all week is it?
I wonder if the reason Lynch is not following the suit of other teams when it comes to kicking the can down the road is because they need to extend Warner who will be getting a bunch of money in future years and also Bosa in a couple of years will be getting his extension which could reach $30 Million if he is healthy the next couple of seasons.

New television deal should kick in well before 2023.
