Probably trying to nip it in the bud right away.

Gotta love Richard Sherman......why haven't I bought a 9ers Sherman jersey yet to mock Seattle fans, should've been done a long time ago.

Good point!!!
For the people complaining about giving up draft picks for Trent.

Sometimes you can't help it but to build through the draft.
I would much rather have proven players on this team then players who haven't played a single snap in the NFL even if people think they will be awesome players for a decade. There are no guarantees in the draft. I would much rather have a player I know can play at a high level and has proven it.

I think this is unfair because Joe has played significantly more games than Trent Williams has, but it does show just how good of a player Trent Williams is.

I don't care about the comparisons, I like both players.

One for what he's done, and one for what he is about to do.

Yeah I mean that was my point. It wasn't posted to compare and contrast. Just wanted to highlight how elite of a player Trent has been for all those upset about giving away relative peanuts for a player of Trent's caliber.

For this year anything more than a 6th or 7th rounder ya it does. What is it the 6th rd now? We don't need more 2021 picks we need more 2020 picks. Our window is open now. This is only viable if their plan is to make a run in 2021 and not 2020 which I'm suspecting more an more.

Last I checked, 1. our roster is super deep, so not many rooks will make the roster, and 2. 6th and 7th rd picks can contribute just as well as day 1 or 2, or rd 4-5 players can, so don't act like you need high picks every years to be good.

Plus we need IOL, those can be found very late, same can be said for Safety's.

CB can be addressed next year.

But don't forget UDFA: Think Brieda, Moster, Bourn.
Yea but he has neck tattoos, I don't want him

Man I hope so. From hearing how the 9ers talk about how good their locker room is, I'd hate to see it screwed up over one decision made.

This, this isn't the team kyle and John inherited 3 years ago where multiple UDFA made the team

Absolutely agree. No way they would have sat tight re: OT knowing full well Joe was retiring. So this had to ahve been hammered out prior to draft. Had to.
