Even if they put Chris Jones there?
Especially Chris Jones. You run at those players, otherwise they'll blow it up from behind the play.

Single handedly killed an early drive that could have put KC on the ropes early in the game. Is the putrid play from the other 4 contagious, or was the moment too big? He is the ONLY decent O lineman, an indisputable captain, is that why he gets a pass? Trent played his worst game in the biggest moment. He wasn't the reason we lost by any means, but that drive he butchered could have been huge in sustaining the momentum the team came out with.

Not really buying the whispers...what I would say is if the Niners finally get #6 this season, Trent retires. Why? Why not...best way to go out. They've waited a long time for another SB championship & the likelihood they get another one (#7) in the near future is going to be very tough.

I've always thought he is going to play for another 3 or so years. 2 at a minimum.
signing him to an extension would help a lot with spreading his money out further and that will help us.

He's got the rest of his life to be retied. If he's still fit enough I don't see why he wouldn't carry on, these uber athlete tackles seem to improve with age like heavyweight boxers.

Why should be pass up on making another $100M if his body can take him to 40 years old? What else is he supposed to do that makes him that much cake?

Pay the man. Best OT in the league. I could see him playing until he's 38.

The contract he's on already has him playing until he's 38. The question really is, does he want more years or just guaranteed money. I'm all for giving him more years if he wants to play until 40!
