I think this is his final season anyway, he's 36 years old.

Andrew Whitworth was still effective at 40 years old, started 15 games for the Rams. At 38 years old he started 16 games and that's where I predict Trent Williams will play his last season at.

He's already said one or two more seasons.

At least he had additional time to get his body well rested.

I'd stand our ground on Williams. Ha can play under his current deal, or. not at all. He has three years left on his deal. If he would rather be traded, we can do that too. Assuming anyone would trade for him knowing they need to redo his deal. He has a massive cap hit next year. We need to replace him. There will be some fall off because he is so good, but with the cap savings we can improve elsewhere.

My point is he is already thinking about retiring, so why not retire a year earlier if he doesn't like his contract situation?

The inference is misguided. TW is not AW.
End of the day, tell BA to go and work on his golf game. Let's get TW back in training camp

Duh.

But the comparison was more for their age and TW is not that far away from 38 or 40. I think TW could play till he's 40. IMO

Health is genetic, habit and luck. You usually go off a cliff when it's time.

Are we going to compare RB longevity to Frank Gore.

Any actual word on him?

He's already said one or two more seasons.

He literally said he wants to play till 40.
