Very happy , and very sad at the same time. Gonna miss joe, retire #74, wish he got a ring. Hell of a job by lynch, replacing a legend with the best lt in football, and for pretty cheap!

Playing against the Lambs, Tards and Seaturds' tackles will feel like a walk in the park to Bosa and Ford after facing Trent Williams in practice.

And there was no confidence in them. We should've known when Thomas's 5th year option wasn't picked up.

True. I wouldn't have even considered Thomas in the dozen IDT's other than spot duty. I think guys like Taylor, Jones, Givens, Blair, etc. and who knows who else we add, already surpassed him. Ha

I'm speaking specifically about DT. I was high on Taylor and Street. Apparently I was higher than the coaches/front office was.

Sure. Those are 4th and 7th round picks who have been grinding (literally my exact point on Wirfs vs. Brunskill) but it sounds like Kocurek fell madly in love with Kinlaw's talent.

Kinlaw is going to be a very good player indeed esp. in this system (1-gap attack), Kocurek coaching him up and the cast around him.

Be sure that it's already agreed upon. We're not the Rams with Ramsey.

At 31, he's not gonna ask for a crazy amount though.

why do you think he didnt play last year

he didn't want to play for the Skins anymore. He made that perfectly clear 2 years ago before that season started that he was not gonna play for them. Skins offered him a really good contract and said no. Then the Vikings tried trading for him and he said no to them as well, for whatever reason. But he wants to be here, so I think both sides will make it work. He could've turned down this trade as well, like he has done others.
Trent Williams probably wanted no part of Kirk Cousins as his QB again.

On cousins, Good point.

I'm pretty sure if he plays well this year he'll get extended.

Heard this last year with E. Sanders.

It's simply not comparable to a guy willing to sit out until he either moves somewhere else or gets his contract. Sanders helped up get to a Superbowl in the middle of the year. We got our worth out of the trade. With a 1st round exit, then we wouldn't have.

I dunno,..complaining about Sanders now and not around when we were securing homefield advantage is kidna like drinking all the cans out of a 12 pack,...enjoying your buzz all night...then demanding your money back the next day.

No one is comparing Brunskill to him though. To try and say Brunskill somehow should not or cannot be the RG because he came from AAF is incredibly odd logic. If he's performing at a high level in the pros, why does it matter where he came from?

The odd part is thinking Wirf wouldn't be an immediate starting upgrade over Brunskill on talent and draft choice alone. We're trying to UPGRADE the IOL...not get by with hope and faith. The FO needs to learn from its mistakes. Superbowl was case confirmation 101.

Why are guy trying to upgrade a guy who played well? It isn't a hope, it's actual game play that people are basing this off of
Also Brunskill did not play in the SB, nor did Richburg, and those were the 2 problem points on the OL in the SB. And Person is now gone and Garland won't be starting, so there you go

parameters could be agreed upon
I'm thinking having a healthy Richburg at Center+ Williams at LT + Richburg at RG, is an upgrade over those 3 spots we had in the Superbowl NC. So we did improve the o-line from last season, not to mention we replaced the departure of Buckner with someone who might end up being better in a few years. I am fine with our moves.
