Nope.

You said they stink. Those #s are middle of the road outside of Person, who is gone, , so no they do not stink . Just in watching them last year you could see a drastic improvement in PP. we can also pull up the QB hits and sacks allowed which flies in the face if the they stink narrative,

Why get an agreement in place when you can always overpay later (Garoppolo), or give the player a chances to walk away if you don't massively over pay (Sanders)?
It's more fun that way. Smarter too.

Did Sanders end up taking us to the SB?

How did acquiring Sanu work out for the Patriots?

Boy you really connected the dots!
This post really gets to the point of mine . . . not!
So who was I arguing with that Joe might retire and we weren't taking a receiver at 13? Pretty much everyone
Wow. This is a bigger steal than Nuke Hopkins to Cards for a 2-Rd pick.

Gotta have lots of love for a LT who punches (pre-9ers) Uncle Sherm in the face!!
My guess is he plays this year and then plays on the tag. Two years to find the long-term guy.

Where does Jimmy G's contract rank right now? That contract is a bargain. And are you suggestion that the 49ers should've worked out an extension for Garapolo before he played a game? At the time, he only had two starts under his belt. As for Sanders, we traded a 3rd and a 4th, received a 5th this year and are getting a 5th next year, along with a Super Bowl run that wasn't happening without him. Are you really sure you'd rather we didn't make the trade? Granted we were 7-0 at the time, but I don't see us as 13-3 without Sanders. We definitely don't win the New Orleans game. Deebo and Bourne didn't take off until Sanders came.

While I would've preferred to keep Sanders and would've dropped some guys to make it happen, it just wasn't meant to be. Do you knock the Patriots for trading for Trent Brown without a long term deal in place?

Agreed 100%, and didn't the Pats win a SB with Brown? I can't remember if Brown was on the SB roster the year they beat LAR?

Those are average (at best) to piss poor outside of Staley. No bueno esp. when you factor in the $.

Only, caveat is when Richburg is close to 100% and plays they're better. I think when it comes to the playoffs and Super Bowl, you have to score Ben Garland. Also, not a fan of individual scores. Since most OLs play together as a unit and need consistency, I probably weight pressures, hits, and sacks in critical situations more. I would love to see what those are as a category when Ben started.

Crossing fingers on Richburg

Fun fact: The 5th we traded to Washington was the 5th we received in the Sanders trade

There you go! The Sanders trade STILL benefits us!
