Kittle's new contract will be big and we will have to sign Warner and at leat two CB who are being paid on rookie contracts right now

I think they will. Kwon is gone after this yr and they can restructure jimmy G. They have cash.

LT is one of the most important positions to kyle and he loves him some Trent Williams, he's been trying to get him for a yr now

And Warner will be replaced before Kittle and Trent.

Kwon has a large dead cap hit through 2022, if cut. So I think he's on the team through 2022, unless traded. If I'm reading this right:

We can assume TWilliams will take Staley's salary+. The + would come from Solly and Sherman contracts expiring. But we have to factor in Kittle/Warner/etc extensions. Anyway, if TW is the same TW of the past 5 years, I think Kyle will do whatever is necessary to retain him.

I don't see Kwon being gone after this year. He's pretty important.

If there's an odd man out, it's going to be Ford IMO. He's a good player who makes us better but I'm not so sure he's going to be worth the $18M/year price tag in 2021-23. I think there's a 90% chance he's either gone or takes a pay cut after 2020. That would open the cap for sure (only $4.8M dead cap spread out over three years).

Yeah I think Ford is the one on the hot seat. He needs to play well, and play often, to justify staying on the team in 2021. He is a candidate to be cut if he doesn't. His dead cap isn't terrible.

We'll also have Coleman and McKinnon off the books. And I'm sure Garoppolo extension/restructure can help front load a lot of these upcoming extensions.
I was hoping Staley would stay on to play swing...would be an elite 6th OL while getting less workload amid his health concerns. Sad to see Joe go without a ring; right up there with Gore and Willis. However, this is an A+ freaking move. I think he's extended and we don't need OT for the next 4 or 5 years, but there's also the possibility for a tag and trade or a comp pick. Win win for such little draft compensation.

Imagine accusing this front office and coaching staff of panicking.

2 years in a row.

Pettis & Aiyuk

...and Wishnowsky.

What you call panicking I call pragmatic selecting of players they like. Expecting them to bat 1.000 is unrealistic.

But will we extend him and do we have the money to do it?

Exactly batting .300 gets you a gold jacket
Not sure if it was discussed here but anyone see Trent try to recruit AB here on IG lol.

Post June-1st cut is much much more manageable

Maybe he balls out and gets traded, I can't see them keeping him and paying Warner big bucks.

Yup if Kyle has his way williams will be here LT (if he plays well).

Yes we have the money. We extend him if he still playing like he was.

Kwon has a problem staying healthy and tackling. Love his fire and pass coverage ability BUT Dre played just as well...it's gonna be hard to keep him off the field. We can't pay two Off-ball LBers top end money.

Yeah this is a big yr for Ford!
