I have been re-watching a lot of the games from this past season and inspite of what the collective memory may be in regard to Skule's stint at left tackle he was mostly getting his ass kicked in pass protection. Jimmy's quick release saved him on several occasions. Skule was better in the running game.

I also re-watched all the highlights of the games and I thought he did a solid job. There was times Glinch was getting beat more than Skule if we are being honest.

The Oline is a strange debate, some dudes think Laken sucks, others thinks he's solid.

There is a reason that when Joe went down a second time during the season that Brunskill ended up taking his place rather than Skule

FWIW Skule was banged up heading into the GB game...he got whooped at the beginning and Brunskill came in a stonewalled a very good group of GB DEs.

Brunskill was actually pretty damn impressive as a pass-blocker last yr and that's with being thrown around to different spots (RT/LT/RG) and not getting a ton of practice snaps. He can only get better.

Both Garland who has $1,137,500 of his base GTD, and McKivitz are locks IMO, they won't cut the player they drafted with the pick from the Breida trade.
