He looked solid today even against Aaron Donald.

...in the first half. Donald owned him in the second half. Of course, AD does that to most OL.

McKivitz looked strong in the run game. The timing was off a bit on a few plays but he was adequate. His PP was average considering the quality of the opposition.

We are likely to see more of him whether we like it or not.
Donald owned McGlinchey. This guy held his own, surprisingly.

Oh, another McKivitz fanboy
No, not at all. I just had to correct that erroneous statement. Hope he plays well here towards the end if he keeps getting reps. Let's see.

You are taking commentary personally and you shouldn't. I read all threads and in those Garoppolo threads there are Garoppolo pessimists and Garropolo fanboys. To me Garoppolo is the best QB this team has but it doesn't mean he is the best at anything, especially when he breaks so easily. He has a quick release but has some obvious deficiencies as well. Anyway McKivitz looked solid and I hope he keeps it going if not then he can get replaced by someone else who can be better. See how it works for me?!

Shockingly there is somewhere in the middle on Garoppolo.....but hey I'm rooting for the big kid out of West Virginia
Saw Donald split both he and Brunskill.

Remember, 4 of the 5 starting OL are the regular starters. OL needs a lot of work. TE's suck at PP too.

I didn't focus on him, but I did see him pushed right into Nick Mullens on multiple plays. If those were against AD, the rook gets a pass.

He's not good. Another backup player like Brunskill. Skule should be off the team. Time to get some real talent up front.

Of course there is but this team needs a healthy play maker and yeah I'll root for this guy too but if it doesn't work then next.

Real talent you say?

That was the play that Donald had a great jump which I thought should have been whistled off- sides. Line does need an upgrade but let's see how he does against the last 5 teams.
I say let's give the rookie a few games before we throw him under the bus. Since OG is a simpler position to play than OT, he might surprise. I think it is a good idea to get him some reps now...he may be a starter next season. According to Tim Ryan, the team is high on him so hopefully, he'll grow a bit before year two.

I believe the O-Line held it's own for the most part. It was those obvious passing situations that caused us the most problems and yeah, I believe It was mostly AD who rocked the rookie multiple times today.

McKivitz is a 5th round rookie that just made his 1st start against Aaron Donald and some guys are saying he sucks

I want McKivitz at RG and Brunskill at RT the rest of the season to know if we can count on them next year.
He'll be staring for us at guard next year.

Who you got playing C if Brunskill is @ RT?

Garland for this year. Next year I´d try to sign Corey Linsley.
