You're right just ask Ruiz in NO been straight trash in PP.

Takes a little time.

Man IF he could lock down RG spot it would be HUGE. I'd kick Brunskill back out to RT battling Mike in the offseason. If somehow Mike gains weight in the offseason and wins the job then you have Brunskill locking down swing T. I'd ditch Richburg and keep Garland around as the backup C. I'd use draft capital from next season to move up for one of the big 4 QBs then use our 2nd rounder to go rookie Center.

Agreed on most of this!

I'll pay for a good vet center though. Not sure GB resigns Lindsey and he knows the scheme.

For sure. Forget Compton, let this kid play RG for the remainder of the season.

I can get down with this too. Guess it would depend on how much available cap we have
Last season Brunskill did a good job at Tackle.

Can Colton play C??

If he does even remotely well you'd have to figure he'd be better next season with a proper training camp under his belt and a hopeful upgrade at Center next to him. Seems like a no brainer to me
I see them drafting one OT and one interior guy but I don't think they'll invest higher than a 4th. It takes young line players a while before they are effective. 49ers can't afford to sign free agents. My guess is they resign Williams, Brunskill and we're looking at Williams-Tomlinson-Richburg-Brunskill-McGlinchey for one year or until Richburg gets hurt.

I have no idea why we've even waisted snaps on Compton. We know what he is at this point. McKivitz should have been getting all of the rg snaps anyhow imo after Brunskill moved to center.

Fingers crossed! It's just too bad we couldn't get a much larger sample size over the course of a season.

Look like a LAR OL scenario...just like the one you love

Only if it gets better like theirs. Not worse like our "running it back" got us this year.

"Trusted agent" with the season on the line vs. a raw rookie. Season's over now so game on rookie...for the remainder of the year.

But you're absolutely right.

I think problem was Richburg being hurt while not elite he is better than anything on the team at that spot and McGlinchey instead of getting better got worse.

I get that approach. Let's be honest though. With all of the key injuries/untimely covid a different rg wasn't going to make a huge difference. I haven't seen or read a single positive thing on Compton. He reportedly was getting abused all camp and had to take a pay cut just to make the roster in the first place. I'd say he was far from trusted. Lol

Completely agree. Brunskill was solid at RT.
We need a new C more than anything...

Yep, especially with Kyle's system
