We need a new C more than anything...
Yep, especially with Kyle's system

If somehow Mike gains weight in the offseason and wins the job then you have Brunskill locking down swing T. I'd ditch Richburg and keep Garland around as the backup C. I'd use draft capital from next season to move up for one of the big 4 QBs then use our 2nd rounder to go rookie Center.

I haven't seen or read a single positive thing on Compton. He reportedly was getting abused all camp and had to take a pay cut just to make the roster in the first place. I'd say he was far from trusted. Lol

Guys that simply know the scheme but can't play should be coaching. I want an influx of talent on OL over the next two years that can ultimately push any underperforming or bad players off the team.

Mckivitz is an OT who shouldn't be playing IOL.
Brunskill had his best football as an OT as well, he has struggled in the interior.
I agree a new Center is the most important upgrade to do. Richburg can't stay healthy. Go for the best Center available. Alex Mack made all the difference in Atlanta. The EAgles doesn't win their lombardi without Jason Kelce. It's time to upgrade one of the most important positions in football, literally the pivot of the offense.
If you want to keep Richburg for another year, pick a guy who can play both RG and C and plug him in.
Back to Mckivitz, give him a chance to play OT. He was supposed to be Plan B if somebody else traded for Trent Williams.

Having Jonathan Goodwin was huge for our success with Harbaugh. One of the best Baalke moves period.

But they didn't "run it back" with their 4th string center and 3rd string RG playing most of the yr.
Originally posted by Hoovtrain:Not to mention Edwards is the only draft investment that is actually starting and he's the weak link on the OL. Noteboom is getting some PT with Whitworth out, and he's been awful. Almost Every guy they've drafted has been pretty terrible with horrible grades. Edwards is the only guy who's played well.

Pretty sure he was a 5th rd pick who was a converted OT (at Wisconsin) to OG as well...sounds familiar.

You would have been so pissed If SF did what LA due this past off season

We literally did. 1 WELL KNOWN injury. Have they had any injuries?
