Almost Every guy they've drafted has been pretty terrible with horrible grades. Edwards is the only guy who's played well.

Pretty sure he was a 5th rd pick who was a converted OT (at Wisconsin) to OG as well...sounds familiar.

Bingo

Zero chance it's scheme/QB play/having both their stud WRs available all yr and being able to run the ball....zero chance it's all about getting the ball out quick and throwing short passes to get YAC (even though the data/film back it all up)...You know all the same excuses we heard last yr for the QB hit stat being lower than some want

Kid played well yesterday, didn't allow a single pressure vs that WFT DL.

I need to go back and re-watch. Him developing these next 3 games could be one of the team's biggest offseason stories.

I agree, if he could come in every game and show promise it would be awesome. Wish he had an opportunity way earlier.

This. We've been burned by small sample sizes before (while giving credit where credit is due too): Skule, Brunskill, Garland, and maybe McKivitz (because prior to this it wasn't pretty).

Agreed. We keep shopping at the dollar store for guards and wonder why they can't block anybody.

Yup. And we've heard it all with every one of those guys even with some pretty negative evidence.

Skule can replace Staley at some point
Brunskill can replace Person...now, McGlinchey
Garland is performing at Richburg's level
McKivitz just needs more time but arrow up
Tomlinson will get better at PP now that he's next to Williams
OL just needs more time to get (LOL)

...we know how this REALLY ends.

It was clear Kyle was scheming around Skule. It was silly to think he was a replacement. Just because people said it here doesn't mean the coaches ever thought it was an option.

Only if it gets better like theirs. Not worse like our "running it back" got us this year.

But they didn't "run it back" with their 4th string center and 3rd string RG playing most of the yr.

You would have been so pissed If SF did what LA due this past off season

We literally did. 1 WELL KNOWN injury. Have they had any injuries?

Richburg had a setback with his shoulder....he was suppose to be ready to roll. Out for the yr. Brunskill was suppose to play RG. The backup at center out for most of the yr in Garland. His backup Grasu has been out. 4th string center in Brunskill moved around (played every damn position on the OL outside of LG). Compton is a vet RG who's played with Kyle, he's been in and out and the 5th rd rookie WHO'S played tackle his whole career is learning RG on the fly is now starting...he's basically our 3rd string at that position.

Williams hadn't played football in a yr and spent hardly any time with this OL due to COVID.

Literally the only players "running it back" at their position from 2019 is Tomlinson and McG.

give me some of what you're smoking NC

That's some secret sauce spin there.

Brunskill was already the RG to end the season, played well and they dropped an injured Person who retired. Williams IS Staley...maybe better.

There were 3 people in the world who actually believed Richjured would be ready week 1. You, Kyle and John. LOL

That's essentially 4 of your 5 right back where they ended a Superbowl run with Garland, also experienced at C. You had 5 of 5 at one point either way.

I said Skule was the long term replacement for Staley?

Holy reach lol.

Brunskill played what 2 games at RG? He wasn't the starter last yr or even finish out as the starter.

Yes because you knew about Richburg injury soooo well. Dr. NC lol. Everything reported was he was going to be playing this yr. setup back happened and here we are.

They have two starters playing their same position as last yr...that is NOT running it back no matter how hard to try to flip it around.

Nice. If only Williams played LT in this offense, Richburg and Garland at C, Brunskill at RG and McGlinchey at RT in this offense. How can they expect to be like last year?

Right paying a avg guard $67M would have totally won it for us lol. With that money invested there, they can't sign other guys FYI.

One of the worst contracts in the league lol
