I like the Idea of getting Rice, I have not seen the other guys...so forgive me if they are considered better prospects. This is not a this or that proclamation from me....but I did watch a few of Rice's games. Obviously..like most 49er fans...I watch the dude every snap. I liked how he went all out even if the ball was not coming his way...seems like a total effort guy to me. I like those kind of players...

If the 49ers place an original round tender and allow Jennings to depart if an offer is too rich to match, the 49ers will receive a 7th round (original round) pick. Is this departure also calculated in the compensatory draft pick formula so 49ers potentially can receive an additional late round comp pick also?

1. the 49ers are tendering Jauan the 2nd rd tender, 2. only UFAs count against the comp pick formula.
