At this point it's way harder to replace the best player in the league with the ball in his hands. Keep Deebo. BA is a top 10-12 wr and easier to replace (if you can't keep both)
Deebo isn't the even best player on this team with the ball in his hands let alone the league.
I posted this thought in the Game thread but thought I would re-post it here. I was actually a little surprised that Jennings took the extension they offered. He is probably a legit #2 for almost any other team in the league and a borderline #1 for some others. Like Jordan Mason, I have always felt Jennings was capable of more than what was being asked of him. Hopefully, with Deebo out he'll continue to shine. I would have been okay with the team trading Aiyuk if it had come to that. I think Jennings would have made that loss acceptable. I mean I like Aiyuk, and he's certainly capable of having goods games, but I don't really see him as an ultra-elite wideout worth paying $28 million a year or whatever it is he's getting. In some ways I think Deebo has a bigger impact on the team than Aiyuk. The problem with him is that the way he plays almost guarantees a shorter shelf life than a lot of other wideouts.

Enough already. Make this guy a starter. Once Kittle and McCaffrey comes back use Aiyuk or Deebo in a trade for a Right Tackle or Center.

I think he looks more like a stud starter than a backup. He's the kind of guy who gets buried on your depth chart for timed speed. But if you just watch the way he plays he looks like Anquan Boldin out there. I think there is a lot more there than even the 49ers realize.

100% agree

I could see him getting 1,000 + and 10 TD's if you played him all the time. He's that good and physical. Hands are outstanding. Routes are great. He just muscles the ball away from people. The only thing he doesn't have is fast straight line speed. So much dog in him though. He's tough and effective the way he does it.
Guy is always open and makes the tough catches.

All he does is makes big plays every time he is in there. Plus he's a blocking beast. If anything he needs more playing time. But above who? He's better than a #3 IMO. Just who do you put him above though? Because Aiyuk and Deebo have more speed. But he does some things better than them. He's a #2 or even #1A on some teams. He's much better than how much we use him.

He's the perfect example of the guy that plays way better than his combine numbers or maybe even his practices. He's a true gamer.

Yeah I totally agree. Should we ever trade 1 of the 2 I think this guy can give you 1,000 + yards and 10 TD's. I'm serious. I think he's that good if he plays all 17 games. He's just so much better than a combine or timed speed. You just can't measure the stuff he does. He does it a different way.
Jauan balled out, but lets not get too crazy. He isn't being defended like a number 1 or number 2 receiver.

He's much better than people think. Classic guy who doesn't fit combine numbers. Like Anquan Boldin. Nobody is saying he is that category right now. But just there are players like that. Who are tremendous. But don't fit timed speed. They do it a different way.

Of course he is. He is leading the league in YAC 4 of the last 5 years. That is absolutely historical.

Feels good to finally have a physical WR who can catch in traffic like Jennings

I'd take McCaffrey all day everyday without hesitation as best player with the ball in his hands on this team.
Monster game

Jennings' big game put him at #3 in receiving in the NFL.

Purdy is #2 in passing yards, Mason is #2 in rushing.

The fact that we are ranked there and still 1-2 tells you how awful special teams and defense has been.
