Elijah Lee is gone and the 49ers met with Griffith prior to the draft. I think he's got a pretty good shot.

I really like Jared Mayden. Has experience at CB and Safety, picked off 4 passes in 2019, I think he's the next undrafted player to make the roster.

At 1:34 he's dislodging the ball from Jauan Jennings.

I'll give my early prediction now.

Acy, Ahmed, Harrell, and Rutter make the team.

I agree with you on Rutter. Just a gut feeling on that. I am so looking forward to seeing him play when the Plague is finished.

Rutter for real?? If anything practice squad maybe.

Most of these players will be cut casualties in August, but I guarantee you that at least one will be the new Breida.

I like Hokit, only because I'm an ex-Bulldog. I think he would have been drafted had Fresno State put together a decent year last season, but alas, Jeff Tedford's final year was nothing to write home about.

While I would like to see Hokit stick, I don't see it.

I disagree. I think the 49ers have been targeting him for a while. According to the Barkboard the Niners have been talking with Hokit for a month. According to Barrows of the Athletic, both Lynch and Shanahan placed calls to Hokit in this time period. I don't see them wasting Lynch and Shanahan's time with a throwaway UDFA.

I think the 49ers knew they would be limited on picks and thought they could sneak through a low profile kid on the west coast with no pro day. It almost backfired as Buffalo considered taking Hokit with their 7th round pick.

Remember while most guys were training for their Pro Day, Hokit was wrestling in the Big 12 where he finished 3rd in the 285 lb Division. That made him a two time NCAA All-American. The last Fresno runningback/Wrestler was a guy named Lorenzo Neal and he seemed to do okay.

Hokit has good hands, good football awareness and is a tough physical player. I'm doubt he is as fast as Juice but I'm pretty confident he will make a good fullback. With Juice having no backup and a free agent in a year, I will be surprised if Hokit doesn't at least make the practice squad.

I think this board is way underestimating the Hokit signing.

Seems like a practice squad stash and potential cheaper replacement for Juice next year if he shows out on the p-squad.

I can't see any other team plucking him for their active roster.

Well, I'm hoping for another Nick Mullens moment. I also like Rutter's skill set. He's mobile, from the article I read. He's also accurate at his division 3 level. I know division 3 isn't division 1, but I think Kyle wouldn't have green lighted him to compete to make the team just to have a camp arm. I think he values good QB play and saw him a somebody that can compete with BeatHard. I really am looking forward to seeing him play - to see with my own eyes if he can play at this level.
Not a single iol. What the.

This is another long shot I'm really interested in seeing first hand. If, and it's a long shot, he can make Juzczyik expendable - conceivably we can do a Breida-like kind of trade and get a 5th rounder as in the Breida to Miami trade. Hope hope. We're going to be drafting late in the first round -- hopefully for a long time, and this is one way to get some extra draft resources.
Your saying trade juice for a 5th rounder. What, are you saying.

Perhaps. The 49ers had to sell him on themselves. 8 other teams contacted him with Buffalo and Atlanta being the most ardent.

Juice has the 5th highest cap hold on the team and will be a free agent after next year. The 49ers have to have options which they don't right now. It remains to be seen if Hokit is an option or not.
