Are the Niners better of worse than their Super Bowl team after the draft?

Bottom line is ...where did Aiyuk end up? That's all that matters.

And as to the question, are we better after the draft (and trades)? Getting our two first round picks , both set to go at #13....which seemed obviously impossible, yet our GM/HC got both the players they had pegged at #13. And then the shocker, that Joe is hanging 'em up after a season of gutting it out with different injuries...and we trade a 5th this yr and a 3rd next yr for an all pro LT who is 4 yrs younger than Joe? Yeah, i would say filling in the loss of Buck with a super talent and filling in the loss of Emmanuel with another super talent, and finally nailing down the loss of our retiring all pro LT with another all pro LT who is healthy and 4 yrs younger...i would say we are better off, and i loved Joe, Buck, and Emmanuel. But somehow our guys came thru.

Also, it will be fascinating if our late 6th rd OL and our 7th rd WR/TE/ LB (jK) end up being pearls like DJ Jones, George K, TT, et al. Additionally our HC-OC/QB duo is right there with Sean Payton /Brees as best HC/QB duo in the league...and they have now had a full 19 games together. They are only getting better.

Then think of our RECEIVERS: Bourne, Deebo, Aiyuk, and reported as healthy are TT, Hurd, and Jet. Add to that George, best TE in the NFL who also is a WR/RB, plus Au Jus, and we ought to have so many great players catching passes that nobody can defend them all. Nobody.

RG is improved and Brunskill showed very good PP last yr all across the OL. Richburg is back supposedly healthy. Joe is replaced by another all pro LT but healthy...McG had another good yr, and hopefully has improved his PP. . We got 3 STUDS at LB.,and front 7 is scheduled to be #1 in league.

Finally, we again had 17 guys on IR and a bunch more that missed a lot of games, but because JL had improved the quality of our rotational/ substitute players, all got plenty of PT last yr and the injuries, altho we had them, dropped us down from 31st worst w/r/to injuries to 27th. May not seem like much but maybe the wheel has turned and we are about to get rid of the injury curse that has been an albatross around our necks for over 6 yrs now. Hell yeah we are better.

Did i think that right after draft? Nope. But then TW, Aiyuk, and esp Javon's tapes were viewed and wow. Just wow. Tapes on all 3 of those guys are frightening to anyone playing us this yr. Sure, they all have to prove it, but tape doesn't lie. And these guys all are STUDS. Final final is that all our players gained tons of experience last yr and among other things, learned how to win. We are a young team, but we learned about as much as a team can from just one season. Knowing they CAN win is a mammoth step forward.

Can't really say they have gotten better when they are replacing Buckner and Sanders with unproven rookies, but I think they have the potential to be better if the rookies can play like we think/hope they should

I don't think they'll have trouble replacing them - got faith they can get the job done.
Just the players who were unavailable during the season or Super Bowl make this team better; they will definitely provide more depth. The new guys is going to be "wait and see". And then there is the question of health...
