No, I would not attend if I had to sign a waiver. Two reasons:
1. It is a clear overreach by the government.
2. It means nothing. My medical insurance would still be in place but it only covers me.
All of these restrictions on sporting events will be remembered when it comes time to vote.

Would you attend a 49ers game this coming season if you had to sign a waiver taking respo?

There have been more deaths from the flu virus then covid. Less then 1% of the entire country has been affected by covid. You quarantine the elderly, small children and people with low immune systems/preexisting conditions but what you don't do is shut the entire country down, kill the economy and give away free money.
There's a story on the web now about a guy that thought the virus was a hoax. He believed god would keep him safe and ignored precautions. I'm sure he would have gone to a game if the season was happening.
He and his wife are now in their 3rd week in the hospital. She's on a ventilator. The number of deaths worldwide is about 350000 and rising. There would be a lot more sick people without the precautions. That's the reason only about 1% have gotten the virus. There probably are a lot more people that got the virus and had mild cases but we don't know since we've only tested a little over 1% of the country. (less than 4 million people)

Folks, the discussion is about whether or not you'd attend a game with the current situation being what it is. If you want political discussion or detailed discussion of the COVID-19 outbreak, please take it to the already existing threads in the Parking Lot.

I bet a you our deaths are much less than reported. It's so easy to put covid on the death certificate . Colorado has already admitted that mistakes have been made.
Don't want to minimize death, but destroying a economy is wrong. Just f**king use common sense
not gonna happen bud, i personally wouldn't at this time , not because of myself but im afraid i catch for the older members of my family like mom or dad

So the folks that don't want to risk getting infected and spreading the virus to their loved ones aren't true fans. Wow aren't you special.

I haven't missed a home game in 22 seasons. I personally would have no problem attending a game under restrictions, or even if they just said business as usual, come on in.
That said, I don't expect fans to be attending games at the start of the season. And if that's the case, so be it. But I'll be ready and willing whenever they'll let us back.

I guess there is nothing like a good pandemic to bring all of the nuts out of the woodwork. Until November of 2016 I would have had a hard believing that there were so many people in this country who lacked common sense. Now I have come to believe that it is the rule rather than the exception.

The games are much better on TV than going to the stadium anyway. No traffic, bathroom lines, multiple replays, cheap beer & snacks, nice climate controlled environment, not baking in the sun or freezing your balls off, free parking in my front yard, didn't have to buy a ticket, can't see s**t 1/2 the time at games and I'm up close on every play watching on the big screen at home. That's before I ever heard of the Corona virus, no before and no now.

In a country with a population of 328,000,000. You do the math! If you are sick, old, etc. go ahead and stay home, but 99% of the population needs to get out, interact, and build immunity.

I'm wondering what the re-sale market will be like for season ticket holders who do not want to go to the games. Might be a problem selling the tickets on the resale market if there's no demand for them.

Researchers aren't sure that immunity lasts since they haven't seen a virus like this before. It's not just another flu virus. Way more than 1% are getting the illness. The way it attacks the vital organs is a real danger. Even when people recover they can still have problems down the road. Some have appeared to recover only to have it come back worse and they end up in the hospital.
Even if you are willing to take a chance and get this disease, you have no control over who else you might infect. You can't ask people before you get near them if they are healthy or not. On average, each infected person will spread it to 5 or 6 other people. That's a big risk to the general population just so you can enjoy yelling at a football game. We have to try and return to normal but it needs to be done slowly so if new cases start rising they can control it and shut things down until they can slow it again. That's the only way the hospitals can handle this.

No, the games are too good at home to take even a small risk. The beers are cheaper and the TV is large.

Whilst I agree that the journey home is a lot easier, the atmosphere is nowhere near as good.
