This is why I think it will be hard for us to get back to the super bowl. The NFL wants every team to get a shot. Jimmy gets no respect because he was a backup. They figure if he was a backup QB it means he is no good. Not taking into consideration that he was backing up a future Hall of famer. Jimmy G has like an 80% winning percentage as a starter and just took his team to the SB. There is no grounds for the lack of respect he gets around the league.

Jimmy reminds me of how Romo got no respect as the Cowboys QB. He never got any credit until he started winning big games.

Romo was pretty hyped when he first became starter and they were winning a good amount of games during the first few years as starter. He was the toast of the town until people starting realizing he couldn't win big games in the playoffs, or playoff games in general that matter.

Yeah, he kept coming up short in the playoffs. At least Jimmy rolled through the playoffs until the Super Bowl loss.

Why is Jimmy making 138 million and is not on the list. Jimmy threw the ball like 15 times in 2 playoff games. Give me a break.

Jimmy can earn it this year. Has the tools at his disposal to do so.

This list is the top 100 players. I understand why Jimmy isn't on the list. Even his biggest supporters would have to admit that he's barely in the top 10 of QB's. I'm talking about how people view him, not his stats. Even if you rank him at #5 there are still a lot of other players at other positions that need to be considered. Anyway, it's just an opinion piece, not the end of the world.

Demario Davis over Kendricks and Warner

Alvin Kamara at 40 with his injury-filled season over Tyreek Hill, Dalvin Cook, and Jamal Adams

Cameron Jordan over Kittle

Pete Prisco continues to annoy me year after year.

The complaints about Jimmy are funny. First and foremost, using Cousins to say Jimmy deserved to be on it is ridiculous. If anything, Cousins doesnt deserve to be on it either.

Just because this list doesnt have Jimmy as a top 10 QB, does not mean they are insulting him. Its like when LeBron James fans get their panties in a bunch when people say hes the 2nd best player ever. Not everything has to be a slight. Jimmy is a fringe top 10 QB in the NFL, IMO. I personally have him at around 12. That doesnt mean he sucks, or he is being disrespected.

Note: Not sure if you guys saw the list of players who just missed the cut. Ben Roethlisberger and Carson Wentz were the two QBs listed.

I think people are letting one play in the Superbowl overshadow the fact that he was amazing for us all season long.

That's a real fear....but remember Plummer? Ahmed Plummer ( not gary plummer). ( I know you do since you have glorified Steve Wallace's helmet)

He was un challenged for years based on reputation, until he wasn't.... and then it was night and day.

Sherman is going to have to play REALLY strong ball i think to keep people from challenging him. Lets see if he can weather the storm.

I mean....him being unchallenged this year was because he was shutting the WRs down. It wasnt the previous year when the CB playing across from Sherman was horrible, so they picked on the other side. Our other corners did well this year too. But Sherman was really, really good.

I understand the fear of him losing a step this year, and another the following, I truly do. But I cant get behind the idea that he wasnt incredible for us in 2019. He was.

I agree with you he has been excellent,

I think coming season teams will challenge him....for the very reason you stated....one pass can change people's perception.

yea i don't get Ward being on the top 100 and especially over Warner. Makes no sense IMO. i'd take Greenlaw as an alternative.

The article calls Ward a "ballhawk". No interceptions and only 1 forced fumble (granted it was in the Super Bowl) in 2019. I think they need to re-evaluate their definition of a ballhawk...
