The Catch II Game

On fox right now...TO playing hot potato with the ball.

That was one of my favorite 49er game. This and the vernon davis game.

Tuned in right at the last drive. I forgot that was Reggie White's last game and I forgot how preachy he was.

i forgot how leaky we were getting on defense. many think we would have won the super bowl that year but in watching that game... man. we were getting old and slow on defense. i also thought,, wow.. had we not had jj stokes. we may have lost as he had some clutch catches. young looked scared and disinterested in my opinion for lots of the game. at least they showed someone other than the patriots on those best of games. i may be wrong and rip away.. but i do not think we looked very good at all in that game other than hearst and jj and mcdonald. norton looked old and slow. and we actually dropped haley into pass coverage?

The field was pretty jacked up which might be why they looked slow. But then again they were also burned indoor by the dirty turds in ATL.

i guess. but the next year we really looked old and slow so i think as madden said during the game. the niners run is coming to an end. norton was always behind guys. hanks did nothing. woodall being young was fine that game, not having young hurt as well. offensively we were fine even though rice looked disinterested all game long but i was shocked . in my opinion. how poorly our defense played

In today's game that would likely have been reversed after review. In the 1982 championship game against Dallas, the game saving tackle by would have been a horse collar tackle. !5 yards and Dallas would have the ball in game winning FG position. The dynasty would have had to wait. It just shows why it's hard to compare eras. Two rule changes that could have changed history to some extent.

and we got away with a penalty at the end on the missed field goal of the crazy come from behind win over the giants with garcia and streets leading the way
