What's Kittles Value?

Because that's 150%+ more than the next guy. It's not realistic. You may start at extreme values, but you certainly don't settle on them.

And a fully guaranteed contract isn't likely either, because it's not in the interest of the team. And that's what matters most.

3 years 40M w/25M guaranteed or 4 years 52M w/ 35M guaranteed.

This makes sense
I am starting to think the longer this negotiating goes, the worse for Kittle.

I think Kittle will keep that from happeniing.

Perhaps we should offer him what he would get if we were to tag him for 3 years, and make it all guaranteed. Basically offer him a 3 year extension at around 36-39 million, make it fully guaranteed, and then have it in there where we can not tag him when the deal is up. This way he locks in his guarantees, while also breaking the TE record of AAV, and still controls when he becomes a FA.

I was thinking similar. With 10 or so of it at signing counting against year 3.

But a 4th year option worth 20 or so million. This option means he has shown he is worth that. It will handle the franchise tag dilemna. if they retain him they can franchise him 2 more years, or they opt out and he walks freely.
In an effort to inflate Kittle's perceived value his agent is twitting that he is unique, one of a kind, a unicorn. I am beginning to think that this will not end well.

I hope Kittle fires his ass.

Unfortunately, he's pretty much right.

And is anyone else in football gonna play what this "unicorn" wants? I mean, I think it's debatable.

I do wonder what other teams would pay.

The 49ers could allow his agent to seek a trade opportunity in order to see what another team might pay him. I would be curious myself.

Gonna end up trading kittle cause Trent Taylor is our secret weapon LOL
I think 5 years - 75 million with 45 guaranteed is a nice deal for both player and team. Kittle is certainly worth significantly more than what the top TE contract is now and this would be about a 50% bump over hunter henry who is the current top paid te. 15 per puts him just outta the top 10 wrs paid. Years 4 and 5 are nice team options at 15 per and could be a deal at that point.

The team should just get this done, he is the face of our team in many ways. George should get it done to avoid the distraction and sign before covid potentially messes with his earning potential.

They won't pay that.
I may be off a bit off but I think if the 49ers pay Kittle his contract this year and tag him 3 additional years, the 4 year spend would average about 12.6M a year. I still think a 4 year 14M average is the sweet spot with 35M guarantee.
