What's Kittles Value?

Kittle should just create a shell company that the York's can funnel money to, to protect our salary cap like Tom Brady.

Haha what he needs is to be married to a supermodel who makes more money then he does

Jimmy can help him get with a pornstar, I'm sure they make more than he does right now

Kittle is a top 10 player in the game and the TE market has been b******t for years, hasn't budged in like 6 years. If I were George I wouldn't participate in anything until I'm paid.

The whole "TE market" argument is stupid. You're paying the player, not the position. It's not like Kittle is a punter. He's the engine that makes the entire offense go both passing and rushing.

5 yrs $90-$100M haha now that's stupid.

So should we pay juice $50M because he's a great player and not care he plays FB? Should we pay a RB $80M if they're the best player at RB??

Kittle gonna sit out for 3 yrs? He didn't make 1st rd money to sit out and chill.

When Juice averages that many yards and TDs, let me know. He's a great run blocker and WR/TE. 15 mil a year at least.

Exactly! Kittle is everything to this offense!! You people are too tied to BS positional values. Some players are just special and Kittle is one of them.
There is no way they can pay him 20 mil a yr. They could not pay Buckner 20 mil year so they traded him and drafted his replacement Is Kittle next?

Austin Hooper signed the biggest deal for a tight end in NFL history at four years and $42 million with the Cleveland Browns, an average annual salary at $10.5
I understand Kittle is better.

Austin Hooper 2019 Falcons 75 rec 787 yard 10.5 ave 35 long 6 TD
George Kittle 2019 49ers 85 rec 1,053 yards 12.4 ave 61 long 5 TD

Apples and Oranges. The team couldn't pay BOTH Buckner AND Armstead AND Ford knowing they have to pay Bosa in a few years.

Stop being so fascinated with the TE market. The fact is, Kittle is the 49ers offense. Look at the run game without him. The guy blocks like a LT, produces like a WR1. He's a top 10-15 player in the entire league and you're comparing him to Austin f**king Hooper.

That's funny you just compared him to a LT and a number 1 WR and you saying I should not compare him to the highest payed Tight end in the game?

It's an example ...position DOES matter. John Brown had more yards and TDs than Kittle this yr should he be making more than $9M per?

Love Kittle he's the man, he is still a TE end of the day. $100M for a TE is down right ridiculous. There isn't a team in the NFL that would fork that over.

If Deebo has a two bad ass yrs what we gonna pay him $25M per?

As a wide receiver he would be 17th in Receptions, 23rd in yards, 44th in TD tied with 24 other players.
there are RB and other TE in stats above.

Since he is a number 1WR we need to put him up there with other WR, TE and RB right.

It would be like having Gore in his prime, but the route running ability of Faulk. YOU PAY THE MAN. Who cares about position value when that said player is so valuable.
In the post by Silver the beat writer/TV talk show guy., he does bring up a very good point. And that is, with George's contract being worked on now, it is really hard to decipher WTF is going on with the damnable Covid mess. It isn't too hard to see how that muddies the waters and gives paraag heebie jeebies (hives) when there WAS talk about no NFL games, and then well, only with no fans in stadium...and then maybe with just every other row, every 4 seats (social distancing) and a whooping.9000 fans at Levi's. Yep i can see how the 9ers are having difficulty coming up with a number for George, the highest rated player in PFF last yr. You have to consider the source, but STILL....

So if George isn't contracted anytime soon, i will be disappointed, but not terribly surprised. F.O does have to know how much money is coming in and what can they afford....and if question of actually playing all the games, or +/- maybe having people in stadium...or not... or shortening the season...factor all that in...and you got a stalemate with Kittle that altho we would like to see done...it is understandable that it is being delayed. Just wish it weren't with him.
