Hasty or Ahmed

Believe it'll be Ahmed...they didn't sign him for the most money to sit on the bench or PS. Think he's a guy who hasn't reached his full potential yet...but you just know Shanahan's salivating at getting this guy the ball. Forget his 4.62 he ran at the combine...he's run in the 4.3's a number of times. He's another HR hitter who can explode at any time. I'd say Hasty makes the PS.

Looking foward to see what Salvon can do this year.

I dont get why he ran such a slow 40 if hes so fast. Injured like Aiyuk? Bad day when he was timed? Put on too much muscle? If he indeed is a 4.3 -- hes going to make the 53, and beat out one of the veterans, in my opinion.

I don't see either making the 53 over Coleman, McKinnon(If healthy), or Wilson or Mostert.

I'm not overly optimistic about 2 of the 4 guys you named (I'm sure you can guess which ones). That mixed with Kyle's willingness to stay deep at RB leaves us a good chance of one making the team and one making the practice squad.
Hopefully one of them makes it. We can't keep wasting money on Tevin Coleman, he is a RB.

I like Hasty, he's got a little Freeman to him. Love his jump cuts and looks like he's got some pass-catching upside.

He's also a better athlete going off their spider graphs.

Exactly, I've been comparing Hasty to Freeman, if McKinnon is hurt, he makes the roster

I like the Mostert comp too for Ahmed. He's patient and smooth like Raheem.

Mostert ran a 4.3 40

I was watching some youtube college highlights of Ahmed, he was rarely caught from behind. I know he didn't have a good 40 time in the NFL combine, but he has great acceleration and change of direction when I watched him play. He's a jitterbug and it's hard to get a bead on him as he's jitterbugging back there. I agree, he's a smooth runner, very much like Mostert -- but Mostert has that Olympic sprinter speed. There is articles in the internet where he's been timed in years past - running a 4.3 forty. Looking at the YouTube videos, it *does* look like he has some speed. I can say one thing - if he can outrun Bosa in practice to the sideline and turn the corner, he'll make the team.

^ This, he is way faster on film than his combine 40 time would suggest.

Lets be real, that's not happening. Bosa sets the edge like no other … as long as were not playing the read option

I really eager to see this guy run in Kyle's offense. I really want to see if he has the speed to play in the NFL and can take the NFL hits. As many here say, the Shanahans have a unique ability to find NFL caliber running backs at the K-Mart Discount section of the draft. His youtube highlights show that this guy can catch passes, and I've never read anything on the internet being negative about him having any fumble problems.

Yes sir, Hope there's a preseason so we can get to see a lot of him, I think he has everything Shanahan wants in a RB.
We'll carry 3 Arby's this year since guys like Wilson and these two are always available on the PS.
