Apparently Richie James is ahead of schedule and could be cleared before week 1.

Dude has missed almost all of TC, he's nothing special, I'd move on and give Austin his spot.

Reading about the new roster rules, it looks like the 2 players elevated each week can't come up more than 2 times in 1 season, if they want them up for a 3rd time, they have to sign a regular contract with the team, like under the previous CBA, kinda sucks, means someone like Tavon likely wouldn't take a PS role.

Well in that case, I would definitely give Austin a roster spot over Richie. Not sure if Austin is the better receiver, but I know damn sure he's the better return man.

Yeah, Austin needs that KR/PR role

I think Pettis should be the returner.

but but but James is a 73 OVR in Madden 21, and I put him on the PS, and he got signed week 1 off my PS, so he must be good right? Lol.

I want Pettis to win the job badly, I wanted Reed to be our KR before he got hurt, and well got claimed by the Seacocks, but I digress.
I'm pretty sure anybody we put on the practice squad has a 50/50 Chance of winding up in Seadderall. Hasty is one of them.

I'd bring him in definitely, a great veteran who always played hard and smart, assuming he didn't do something to get released lol keep 6 WRs on the roster...Deebo, Aiyuk, Bourne, Sanu, Taylor, Pettis. Jennings and either Austin or White to the PS.

I wouldn't hate it...he would be Hurd light. He can lineup in the backfield and has some great hands.

Yup and he's from Jersey 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻Lol

MM with the head's up to fans in his cryptic way.

Yeah it makes a ton of sense, if his foot is fine and he wants to play for basically free, welcome aboard lol

Yup. Hell, we could always PUP him for 6 weeks too with a toenail or protect him for a couple weeks on the PS to see how both Aiyuk and Deebo do health wise or have him take Jennings ZWR/F (big slot/RZ) role as the 7th and push Jennings to the PS, where most projected him originally.

Sanu is slow and lumbering - I don't want him. Rather stick with Jennings going foward.

He was a beast from the slot in Kyle's system and we all know how much Kyle loves Kyle's guys and the links to familiarity with the coaches here.

Yeah, but he's not the same player he was in ATL. He seems to be wore down now.

lol what do you think Jennings is? I've comped Jennings to Sanu for a while now. Truth is Sanu is a vet with great hands that loves to block. Kid can lineup in the backfield or even out of shotgun.

I mean if he's cool with playing for peanuts and is healthy there's no reason why they shouldn't scope him out.

I think Jennings might beat him in a race. Bringing Sanu on will only stunt Jennings development.

based off what? he got traded halfway thru a season last yr and had to learn a completely different offense ( he also dealt with a foot injury)…Sanders already knew this scheme when he came in.

Sanu's last full season in ATL (2018) he had over 800 yards 4 TDs with 12.7 Y/R, those are some great numbers as a #3 WR that plays out of the slot.

Hasn't he been nursing an injury this last year? So he's not 100% - rather stick with a healthy Jennings.

last yr my man...he had surgery on his ankle and has been in training camp all off season. He's clearly not a fit in New England.

Any team bringing him in would check him out obviously. I'm sure some other team would give him more $ than SF though. Jet's need WRs real bad and his from NJ.
A lot of you guys are missing the intangible value that bringing in a veteran adds, that presence and knowledge is really what made our WR Corp step it up last year.

I say sign him and bring him in, Injuries are going to happen this season - so lets get him in and healthy - caught up to speed. That way when someone eventually goes down or needs a breather - he can come in without missing a beat.
Lol people way over valuing Jennings. All reports I've heard is he really hasn't done anything special this entire time...but he has a nice college highlight reel .

If Sanu comes cheap, I wouldn't lose any sleep over Jennings.
