Fine. Will take you at your word that one person called Mostert a top 3 back. He isnt that. I would venture to guess that you wont find more than a handful of niner fans in the world who think that. So its really not worth harping on at all.
But he is easily the best back on the team.
I want too see what he does this year, teams have tape on him. They are going try and takeaway his strengths. I have never called him a bad player but im waiting too see if he does deserve the best rb contract on the team. If he does, thats great for him. I just know a lot of one hit wonders at rb. Hopefully he proves his doubters wrong
He's not a one man army. If you take away Mostert you're freeing someone else -- Juice, Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk. Pick your poison. And this Shanny offense can go with the grain or against it. Your head is going to be on a constant swivel - not as easy as it sounds.

If they trade Mostert, can any of this years UDFA help fill the gap for outside zone running plays?

They not trading him. Probably could get a 5th rounder at best. And Mostert has 0 leverage

And yet when I bring in data that proves he has a significantly higher YPC when you remove 10 yard rushes compared to Coleman.
You start changing the subject about something different.
Just admit you we're wrong.
Did you take into account defensive looks as well ?? When he was in the game except for the GB game, most teams thought they would pass with him.
I posted stats that clearly contradicted your argument now you're trying to claim the stats aren't that accurate... and yet you haven't posted one shred of evidence for anything pro Coleman.
You can't critique my stats/evidence when you haven't posted any yourself.
I believe Coleman was affected by his injury but there's zero argument to be made that he was better last year. None.
It's a joke trying to claim that Coleman was a grinder and Mostert just gets wide open lanes for touchdowns or that he's not great after contact when the stats/tape say otherwise.

Correct, he's an avg back and is the 15th highest paid RB
Is what it is.

Why the hate for Coleman - he's a very capable player and is still really young.

Just look at it like this Mostert is the big play guy. Coleman is the guy that can get those hard runs and consistently keep you ahead of the chains. Like i said, the runs that are not flashy but still get you solid yardage. He does get wide open lanes, you never see him having to make a juke or shake a defender. The OL blocks well and he simply runs through the hole, just has to make a cut. Its not like he has to sift through or make multiple cuts or read defenses.

It's not hate, it's pointing out what he is as a RB. Average...he doesn't do anything very well. All his stats (and film) show a RB that is very replaceable.
I've asked people to show me these remarkable stats or amazing clips proving otherwise. Sure he can brake one loose every once in a while...That's he's skill set, speed one cut runner. It was that in Indiana and in ATL.
He's a COP back which is fine. Shouldn't make him the 15th highest RB imo.
