The WRs will be just fine. KS is an offensive genius. He will find a way to put points on the board, whether its via WRs or RBs or TEs. How often were WRs used in the playoffs? No often at all versus RBs. KS will find a way to exploit the other team. If the WRs are weak this year, he will scheme something else. Not worried about this at all.

With Kittles, Deebo, Aiyuk and the rest of the gang, I think we're in good shape. The key would be Deebo not missing too much time.

No. Remember, Deebo will be out for the first 4 games basically, and that type of injury can be really bad and he might not be 100% all year.
Then all it would take is for Kittle to miss some time, our offense would be horrendous without those 2.
The only positive is getting Taylor and Hurd back. Hopefully one of them can step it up and look good this year.

Wasn't Deebo's injury 6-8 weeks? He shouldn't miss more than a game or two.

I am not sure if you are a Giants fan, but this line of reasoning (we have Kittle so we dont need a #1 WR), I kind of equate to the early 2000s Giants....when fans would say it doesnt matter that JT Snow is a below average hitter at a premium bat position because we had Jeff Kent who was a premium bat at a position where teams typically dont get a ton of production.

I love Kittle. I know he is our #1 target in the passing game. But just because we have him, does not mean we dont need to build up our WR corps too.
I get it. Do you think the FO has done enough?
I dont know. I think we are counting on a bunch of unknowns to have key roles. I think the WR corps is loaded with talent. Will that talent translate to production? Not sure. I am hopeful, but am not counting on it.

Yeah, it's 8-10 weeks - my mistake.

I think we have to address this with the assumption that Deebo wont be available. Foot injuries can be unpredictable. Case in point Trent Taylor. 49ers simply should not rush Samuel back. In his absence yes this WR core is concerning and is full of #3 WR type players. We dont have a #1 and Deebo seems more like a #2/gadget player himself. Team really needs Ayuik and Pettis to come up big and until we see that with our own eyes might be some growing pains. With that said I believe Shanahan can make it work.

What happened to Trent Taylor last year is not the norm. We can't assume that Deebo will have the same issues.

I think overall our wide receiver group is above average to good. We don't have a dominant receiver as of yet even though Samuel and possibly BA might come into their own. I think BA will be a number one Samuel will be a number two and the rest of the guys like Taylor, Hurd and Bourne will chip in.

In the beginning of the season, especially with Deebo out, I feel a bit nervous. But with Shanahan, that running game, and Kittle... I feel we'll do fine. WR will be a major concern, but it won't sink us.
As Deebo comes back, hopefully Aiyuk starts to flourish, and *someone* steps up... Things will solidify mid/late-season.
Would've been nice to have Emmanuel Sanders for just one more season while our WR corp ripened... but that's the great thing about NFL parity. Should be very interesting next season.
