Warner has to be very high on the "keeper" list...he's one who definitely needs to be extended. If it came down to it, my prioritized list for retention would be 1) Warner 2) Bourne 3) Mostert. The latter two could be interchangeable depending on whether or not they sign a vet WR. Backfield's very deep...ideally Raheem's agent has to see the Niners want more reps and see the ability to truly be that lead RB. If not, I'd still be surprised to see him holdout...if he produces as a lead RB in the '20 season, he'll get paid. It'd be great if all 3 could stay on...but, that's just not likely in the current environment.

Jury's still out on Mostert for me, teams have tape on him and he will be the focal point. He will have an enormous amount of pressure on him. He has to live up to expectations that he may never be able too. Its not because of him but thats just how the NFL works. Breida was shifty and has explosive cuts while still explosive. Mostert he's not a juke or shifty rb. Teams are going to dare him to make moves and really see if he has vision.

MOSTERT - by playing with FIRE regarding his salary, Shann Play Call Choker will do everything he can to keep Mostert from becoming a SUPERSTAR.. he will continue to use other RBs in order to have leverage when Mostert asks for an increase after the season..
... and if we end up having THAT Super Bowl hang over, REMEMBER that this is the reason WHY ..
Idk, I have had this debate with others about mostert. For whatever reason I personally do not view him as high as others on this board. I am not sure he can pump out the kind of numbers he did consistently for an entire season without sharing time with oyher guys. He has 2 career 100 yard games and one of them was against GB in the playoffs (Granted I know it was a record settimg day).
.. AND I understand your point of view, but also, remember that last year was only his 1st full season as a RB for this team.... and I'm sure Shanny didn't see him that way because of Coleman...
I still think that IF Shanny can give him the ball the way his pops did for Terrell Davis, I see Mostert running for over 2300 yards .. but Shanny needs to be in full force w/him..

Not in this offense, with the rbbc approach. He's got Mckinnon and Coleman together now.
