I'm a bit worried that the 49ers are gonna cut Jared Mayden, since they've now agreed to sign 2 Safeties, they have 5 currently(Ward, Tartt, Moore, Harris, and Mayden).

Lol, ok.
Somehow, i don't seem to recall Baalke ever doing much once FA, trades, and draft was over. For sure he wasn't working it like JL has

Those who turned up their noses at his signing on as GM....well, what we got was a guy with terrific football intelligence and more drive than anyone could have imagined. He is in overdrive , all gas, no brakes, in looking over anybody who could help us just a bit more than someone else on the squad. And this kid looks like a tackler. Gotta love it. Way to go big John.
Keep 'em comiing , John.

I still remember 2016 off-season when our only off-season signing was Zane Beadles. And that was a team that could have used lot of talent. Chip Kelly walked into a dumpster fire.

That was all on Baalke, he had the OK to spend money but chose not to.

BAALKE thought he was Bill BeliCheat and believed that he had a PATRIOT team...

I can see Jeff Fuller in this guy's size and athletic ability. These hybrid players can wreak havoc on QB reads when they drop back or move in unexpected ways. I mean just going from a two deep coverage to three deep coverage, or from a gap perspective, going from a 7 man front to an 8 man front really can screw up offensive reads and run plays. He will really work well in zone blitzes as he walks up to the LOS and has the speed and athletic ability to take on a gap or drop back in zone coverage. We shall see.

Yes, that is the point. Even though its reasonable to think that "every other GM out there isn't looking to improve their team.", there are GMs in the league like Baalke who are detached from reality.
