0-0 After game 1 on Thursday, Pat Mahomes gets coviid and the season will get cancelled.
12-4 If the season makes it all the way through, lose in NFC Championship to Tampa Bay.
Don't fret though, I''m never right at these things

Yeah, the Football Gods have definitely been doing everything they can to make sure we don't start another dynasty.
Was it because we won so much in the 80s and 90s? Or was it because we got that cheap playoff game win against Green Bay? All we did was advance one round so we didn't even get a Lombardy when we lucked out on Jerry Rice's fumble.
One would think we got payback earlier in 1983 with that phantom pass interference call against Washington. Even that year we whipped Denver's ass (and they won the SB) and then Atlanta got to play us without Bryant Young and Garrison Hurst after the first play of the game, that's easily a win and we would've had another Super Bowl right there.
I think it was the Mooch/Giants/2002/Bummer fiasco that the refs are getting us back for.

I'll add:
• old NFCW (ATL, NO, LA/StL) was perceived as a cupcake division & an auto playoff spot for the Niners
• East coast hate from the Giants' blown FG in '02 playoffs (that was payback for them ending Joe)

This is why you don't loose the damn Super Bowl when you get to it.

Typical super bowl losers' follow up season, and it's hard for me to expect anything out of coach choker and this forever injury plagued club.

Offensive line is better. Kittle won't have to be used in pass protection as much. Reed is so much better than Dwelley. Deebo will be studly. Trent will be back getting open.
Healthy competition at CB opposite of Sherm. Quality LB unit. D-line is still fearsome.
I saved the best for last. Garoppolo will be a MVP contender and might just win it. Second full season under Shanny. Shedding his brace at times in camp means he's trusting his knee more, he will be more mobile and able to escape pressure, Jimmy Houdini will be back. A strong knee that he trusts also means more zip on his passes.
