how is it silly?

Because of the way it sounds.
it's AROO. btw
nothing silly about a warrior chant as chants have been used in battle for thousands of years. That chant is a constant reminder to the opposing defense that we are whooping that ass. The 300 video clip on the chant explains it perfectly

it's also motivation and the players feed off it, especially at away games in hostile environments when the crowd gets quiet after our first down.. AROO !
Remember this embarrassment? Not 100% sure it wasn't some other team trying to make us look stupid spreading fake news, but if it was sent from the 49ers (2013?)... It is in fact "Ahhh-Oooo"

Most embarrassing battle cry (even if that's what you want to call an attempt of a battle cry) in all of football. I fkn hate it and wish they'd fkn stop it!

Can you honestly say you are familiar with every single other battle cry in all of the football world? lol

True Not every Battle cry lol. But I have heard quite a few. The Saints is rough, as is the Skins and Vikes.
But fkn a....our lil 300 knockoff when Harbs was here??? I'm tired of it. And just wait til Levi's is pack and Aiyuk scores a TD.. I bet we will hear it then too as it sounds similar.

Also wish they'd play a little more Metallica at the games too.

What the heck are you talking about, this is a first down chant.. not a touchdown chant, not a walking up to the stadium chant, not a pregame chant, not a post TD fight song.

This is our marching down the field imposing our will chant, not some cookie cutter First down chant every team does. If you want to be sitting in your seat scared to partake cause you think it won't make you look cool. well get over it. its not about you, it's about the team. I haven't seen anyone at the games feeling embarrased by it, i see everyone getting into it. unity at it's best.
Per Barrows-

The crowd noise they play in the stadium will one solid wall at 60-70 db. I'd find that incredibly irritating and sounds like Shanahan felt the same on brick by brick. The fake noise on the broadcast will ebb and flow with the game.

The NFL will also monitor the sound levels and fine/take picks away from teams in violation of the prescribed levels.

2020 sucks hard
So, the home team not only doesn't have fans but could also get 60-70 db noise playing while they are on offense?
What an unbelievably dumb rule. Why not allow the home team to play it at like 30 db when they're on offense?
Why are they forcing it on teams? Is there an explanation? Are they afraid of too many f-bombs being picked up by the on field mics?

They should leave it up to the home team if they want the crowd noise or not. If the team wants it then I say its okay for the NFL to regulate it because you just can't trust the Seahawks or the Patriots.

But if the home team doesn't want it then it should be up to them.

Everything I've seen says the sound is supposed to be a constant level. I didn't even think about that.

The separate audio of prerecorded crowd noise for use inside the stadium is to be played at a constant 70 decibels.

"The purpose of the curated audio is to create an audio landscape (i.e., a baseline 'murmur') that masks some field-level audio typically not audible in a stadium with fans," the NFL's memo said. "This curated audio is different than the dynamic club and stadium specific audio that will be used in the broadcast."

The in-stadium crowd-noise audio is to be played in stadiums without fans. It also is to be played initially in those stadiums with fans, and the league told teams that it will reevaluate the use of artificial crowd noise in stadiums with fans as the season progresses.

I wouldn't be surprised if they change the rule on pumped in crowd noise once the season gets going and they get actual feedback. I could see them allowing the team to lower the noise level when the home team is on offense to make it more like a real game. I don't think the players would want zero noise. I heard Tim Ryan say how the defensive players feed off the crowd.

Who cares about lowering or raising the volume? It's 70 decibels. That's nothing. 70 decibels won't stop the line from hearing the cadence. From a competitive standpoint it doesn't matter at all. The only thing that matters is that distant chatter will be drowned out. That's the point of it. There is no advantage/disadvantage.

Lol that's our chant for when we were imposing our will marching down the field??? Lol like we have been imposing our will all this time since Harbaugh left.
This was a sorry ass ra ra ra chant that developed under Harbaugh and should've died with him.

No it's not Unity at its best because not everyone does it. If so then that chant would be defining!!! Hell come to my section and nobody does it.

Sitting in my seat scared to partake in it? Sounds like something Biden would say. Instead of doing a dumb 300 chant son I fkn scream to the heavens and hell and let them know who the f**k is imposing their will.

Forgot to mention I know someone who works for the Niners and who has been a part of the "hype" team. They've shared with me 2 td celebrations for Aiyuk.... one is pretty much dead on similar to the first down chant.
