The decision on whether to allow fans is not an NFL decision, it's a local decision. KC is a place with loud acoustics and it sounded like there were more than a few thousand fans. Seattle would probably sound similar. I thought the look of a few fans scattered around was bad. It only emphasized that this is not normal. It remains to be seen if allowing fans at games leads to more COVID cases. The way there were spread around looked pretty safe but what about the tailgating before the game? There have been an awful lot of outbreaks that have been traced to social gatherings. This is just a bad scene no matter how you look at it.
You can always ban the tailgating which should be a must anyway. But I see it as if one stadium can't have fans all shouldn't be able to. The piped in fake noise is stupid but its gives the home team a little advantage.

I think that's kind of better than no noise. In this circumstance at least.

Why in the flying f**k can't the home team adjust the noise on offense? There is literally no home field advantage. Especially with no fans. This is a competitive advantage that needs to be addressed and it's mind boggling that it is not a major major issue being brought up by coaches players fans owners everybody. Easily solvable too

Pumped in broadcast noise
Not only are they pumping in crowd noise to the stadium but now the broadcast is gona be pumping in their own stadium specific noise straight to your tv.
My question is who asked for this?

I don't think that was true. That was not allowed by the NFL until this year. In the past, some teams have been fined for pumping artificial crowd noise and Seattle wasn't one of them.

to be honest watching it from home, it felt like the fans were there sound wise... not as loud at times, but I liked it.

My biggest issue was that it seemed to be an even level all game. It should have been adjusted upward when we made first downs, scored, and on third downs, and adjusted downward on offense, when the Cards had first downs, or scored. Just hire a sound guy.
I put Greg Papa on my surround sound on 107.7, The Bone, while watching the game. His commentary is much better and far more informative than the lame tv announcers, unless it's Romo. You can't hear as much fake crowd noise on the radio broadcast.
BTW, you have to pause your TV feed of the game for about 2 seconds to sync up the audio from 107.7 when listening to it via IHeartRadio.
There should be absolutely no fake noise at the game or on TV. Think of it like going to a small town High School game. Fake noise = Fake News.

It sounded just fine. Wish they had booos ready on any red calls.
