2020 49ers Cut Down to 53

The #49ers have waived WR Shawn Poindexter, he just told me. As of now, SF is not planning to bring him back to the practice squad. But they'll keep in touch with him as the season progresses. He looked good in camp as he returned from a knee injury of last summer.

Point blank, JaMycal Hasty wasn't likely to make the 53 because the 49ers didn't play any preseason games and they didn't tackle fully to the ground at any point of camp. So nobody knows the full book on him yet, making a practice squad stash a prudent and possible play

Doubt it. Every team has their own guys they want to get on their PS. I like Hasty, but RB's like that are a dime a dozen.

worthless. Absolutely worthless but to quite a few people they like that he's "safe" I want Pettis to return punts even if he muffs a few just put him in when we have a big lead. After all, he did break the ALL time record for punt returns and is no longer our wr 1 2 3 or 4 so it's worth the injury risk. He still has the best ankle breaking moves on the team by far

#49ers have released inside linebacker Joe Walker, per source. Walker was competing for one of the two reserve LB spots.

Actually, that kind of sucks. The dude can actually play LB and is an excellent ST player. Mark Nzeocha it is. Al too.
