I agree. Beathard was also Kyle's pick. Egos do play a part in decisions.Originally posted by 9erred:Originally posted by mutant-man49:Beathard is a waste but other than that I've got no complaints
Completely agree, he could be put on the PS, but I guess in theory another team could sign him just to information gather, so maybe Kyle is smarter than us. CJ will play four years for the Red and Gold and be out of the NFL next season.

I think it was a mistake to cut Jared Mayden & Cyprien. I think Mayden is better than Witherspoon and we will need Cyprien. He was balling out this camp

Somewhat true, but for a stacked team, that's pretty significant. You have to consider the guys returning that we didn't have, too. In fact, I'll make a comparison thread for that.

Yeah, heavy lean on home grown picks, no doubt. Outside personnel had 0 chance of making it unless strong personal connections (Williams/Reed/Hyder).

None. Kevin Givens might have caught a few by surprise but that's about it.
The one question I would have would be does the 53rd spot belong to Warner, and that's the roster. Or, do they bring in a free agent CB and when Warner returns they cut down to 5 LBs . I always thought they carried 6 CBs.

These coaches want more than anything to be right. I wish JL had made the call here to let him go.

Yeah, with protocol, I'm sure he's about to come off that list and head straight to the 53.

Yeah good question, it's either that or Warner is gonna be off the COVID list soon.

But do you want 6 LBs over 6 CBS ? That 4th TE has changed the make up a bit this year.

I'll trust our coaching staff either way.

Was Dwelley being hurt part of the 4 tight ends? Possibly I guess.

Players available on waivers tomorrow include: QB Josh Rosen, WR Hakeem Butler, WR Robert Foster, K Chase McLaughlin, QB Josh Dobbs, CB Sidney Jones, CB Rasul Douglas, WR Ryan Switzer, RB Dare Ogunbowale, K Matt Gay and WR Trey Quinn. Much more roster churning ahead.

I can see Jones or Douglas getting looked at.

I liked Butler. Big slot with Hurd and Jennings out?
