JJ performed exactly like I thought he would. A super slow 7th rounder. I really like him, he's developing but he is what he always was. He also had problems actually catching the ball in camp

I wonder with Jennings getting cut if this means we're looking to bring in Sanu?

The problem could well be our practice squad could be better than the back end of other teams roster. The key is can we get the guys we want to keep to the practice squad.

He'd be a good Kyle RB, just doesn't have that 4.4 speed that Kyle needs at RB.

I'm betting 50/50 odds. I mean I think we will lose Hokit and Juan Jennings, I think Sheply sticks on the PS. I mean the reason you put a guy on the PS is because he didn't make the team, I think developmental and depth considerations is secondary unfortunately. Loved to be able to keep Hokit and Jennings on the active roster, but unfortunately there is only 53 spots.

Jennings still has potential, his physicality and special teams ability is admirable, but you have to catch the ball cleanly. It's not the lack of speed that hurt him. Bourne is slow af too and Kyle has already said speed isn't everything.
Jennings has struggled with bobbles and double-clutches since college. That's what I knew would sink him early on. If he addresses that and sticks around on the PS, getting a year in the system under his belt, maybe he makes it next year or is one of the guys they bring up if necessary.

Well this sucks
#49ers Ronald Blair will start the season on the PUP list.

According to his agent @ChafieFields Blair is doing very well coming back from the ACL injury he sustained Nov, 11, 2019 but needs another 6 weeks to be 100%.
