Two things can be equally true. Jimmy can have good stats and the team can win games. He also can be limited to what he can do in tight situations and on broken plays because of his arm and mobility. That doesn't mean he's terrible or needs to be replaced. It just means we can't expect him to be Wilson or someone like that that makes those magic plays that leave you shaking your head. For most of the games I come away saying that was a solid performance by Jimmy. Once in awhile there's a poor one like yesterday. Rarely have I seen a wow game.

Th
The picture made me think it was Madden and you created him. The Bison have developed good QBs. This guy has a strong arm and is an awesome runner, he will be taken in the first couple picks in the next draft.

Trade Jimmy to the Pats for Cam. Everyone happy ?
Ps I'm on favor of letting Jimmy play. In think he's going to be all right. He was slow game 1 last year too, the D just picked us up.

Eh, I'm not in the camp that thinks the sky is falling at QB... but, IIRC, with the way the contracts are structured... we could walk away from him after this offseason, right? The cap situation is weird and we have a lot of great players we are considering re-signing.

The only difference in yesterday's loss was that Murray is dynamic and Jimmy is average. Jimmy needs a perfect team and perfect play call to succeed.
We would be unbeatable if we had ABOVE average play making at the qb position.
Do you all think mullens is an upgrade? I think Darnold would be. Gase is the worse head coach in forotball. They will take Lawrence.

Surprised no one has mentioned Aaron Rodgers yet. Hell most likely be on the trading block soon, and relatively cheap.

A rod going to blow up this year. Pack will hang on to him for another year. Love won't be ready next year.

One thing to take into perspective....it's been nearly 20 years since this team has had an actual competent passer at QB. Jimmy did have a bad game but he still managed 2 TD's 0 Turnovers and a 100 QB Rating. He's also not the sole reason we lost. Using Mostert on 4th and goal and the D giving up 14 points in the 4th Q are just as guilty.
Wait a minute. From MM's article:
"QB Jimmy Garoppolo: Despite being under pressure on only nine of his 37 dropbacks, did not fare well. Garoppolo completed none of his four attempts of 20 or more yards downfield. His grade of 49.8 as a passer was better than only Carson Wentz and Sam Darnold of all NFL QBs in Week 1. He also was responsible for one of the Cardinals' three sacks."
Looks like he was nowhere near a 100 QB rating. LoL

I honestly wouldn't be mad at Ryan Fitzpatrick, old as hell, but at least he has heart and isn't scared to throw.
But I think the two best options are on the bench right now and we will lose them both in free agency. Truth is we are stuck with Jimmy, that extension we gave him pretty much guarantees that. He, along with the strength of our division will be the downfall of what had the potential to be a dynasty.
Did they give Garoppolo an extension???
If so wasn't that stupid? Even admitting that they were not sure that he was the guy?
Did the FO just wed the team to mediocrity?

Jimmy was Spears good for a mistake or int last year and we still won. Yesterday the rest of the team didn't pick us up. We had chances but things didn't bounce out way. Jimmy will have plenty of more opportunities to prove himself, especially with a full roster of starters.
