saved a little under a million by cutting him...no GTD cash. Pettis costs SF $1.3M to cut, any other yr not a big deal this yr money is tight lol.
Sanu did his part, ran some routes, became part of the WR room, got a couple first downs etc (more than we can say about Pettis). Now he can either go to the PS or sit at home and wait for a call (if someone else gets hurt).
Really not a big deal either way.

One snap on the outside doesn't mean he can play outside. NE tried to use him outside, and it failed.

Just said WTF and why? Not really a big deal IMO.

Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu was tremendous from the slot in 2016. pic.twitter.com/5Mv3o517ZG

Mohamed Sanu (@Mo_12_Sanu) did some damage as a slot receiver in 2018. He was lined up in the slot 75.6% of the time. Sanu was tied for 9th in targets and 8th in receptions and yards, while only dropping 1 pass!! #InBrotherhood #RiseUp https://t.co/nyynUF7iz3

In 2016 Mohamed Sanu played the "Big Slot" role in Kyle Shanahan's Offense. I went back to watch Sanu to see exactly how Kyle used him to see what may be in store for third round pick Jalen Hurd.

Except that's precisely where he played the majority of his snaps when he was with Kyle in Atlanta and even after Kyle left.

Umm, Griffen got a 1yr $6M deal before we even redid Dee's deal. We only are paying Compton $1.375M, Austin was just the minimum of $750K, and Sanu was $843,382, that wouldn't have been enough to sign Griffen.
