He doesn't play special teams. WRs at the bottom of the depth chart have to play special teams or they get cut for someone who does
Belichick gave up on Sanu in short order after surrendering a draft pick. The Patriots are thin at the receiver position so that tells you that they cut their losses.
Old , beat up and only can play one position. Where James and Pettis can both play special teams
WHY!!!WTF!!

And F'ing Pettis lives another day...
Though they'd keep him for his veteranship to help aiyuk since it seems to be getting production from aiyuk.
Why bother bringing him in then?

What I was expecting from Sanu is exactly what we got. A washed up WR who should never have been signed in the first place.

I mean who the hell they signing 2 and a half weeks into a season that's gonna magically be something? He costed them nothing, knew the offense, and actually did more than Pettis or Taylor

Served his purpose, he was basically free and can go on the PS if he wants. I think a lot of people blew this signing out of proportion. He wasn't meant to be some savior lol.

because they needed a body, someone that has reliable hands, and actually knew the offense until Deebo got healthy

I won't be shocked if he comes back at some point. Similar to Matthews last yr.
Maybe Shanny thought Sanu would have more of a veteran presence with the WR's. There was of course, that cut shot to him working with a receiver on the sidelines in Sunday's game, but maybe that was a desperation attempt.
